I am amazed! Being raised in 1950 and 1960, I was taught that your word meant something. Thought those days no longer existed, but they do! A & K Tree Service stood by their word. I had a large pine tree hanging over the edge of a mountain. Kendal is a master with the chain saw. He cut and slowly dropped the branches and then the trunk in sections flawlessly. The entire job was above my expectations including cleanup and not to mention the fair price. I would highly recommend.

We had a tree on the property line hanging over the house and up against a fragile vinyl fence. I was very apprehensive about which way to go with this project...bucket truck or a climber. A&K were confident as soon as they saw it. Kendall tackled this project with confidence and care. He is an expert with a chain saw and dropping the limbs perfectly. They gave me a price to cut down tree. When man came up to cut it down he needed larger equipment which added a large amount more. They also needed to be called several times to do the job.But at the end they cut it down and did an excellent job cleaning up

They showed up when they said they would, great price had to be half of what others were charging, did more then what was expected, cleaned up all debris, and he removed a whole huge pine tree down for me as well as cleaned out my gutters.

So very disappointed with these people! They responded to my query on Home Advisor, and Ann came for an estimate. She seemed to understand how I wanted a holly tree trimmed and even wrote it up that way. There were also a couple of other trees included. We decided to use A & K and I called and left a message to schedule. They called back with a date, 12/6, and said it would be in the afternoon, which was good for us as both my husband and I had morning appointments. At 7:40 that morning, Kendall called to say he would be here at 8:45! I commented that we were told the time was in the afternoon and he not so politely said that it was this morning. I checked with my husband who was on his way out the door, and we agreed we could make it work, so I told Kendall to come ahead. My husband rushed back from his activity, so we were both here when they arrived, but I was the one who talked with Kendall about the holly tree which was to be trimmed away from the gutters in a dome shape. I then had to leave and was not back by the time they finished. My husband did have concerns about the appearance of the holly tree, but since he hadn't been in on the conversation earlier, he assumed that was what we agreed on and he went ahead and paid him. I was sick when I got home and saw how it looked. I was so upset that I gave myself the weekend to cool off before calling this morning and leaving a message for Ann to return my call. I simply wanted to ask her if they could take another look to see if the misshapen mess could be cleaned up some, but Kendall returned the call and refused to listen to me at all. He got really upset and would not even consider a compromise and finally hung up on me. We will have to get someone else now to come and fix this mess and are out the amount we paid. As far as the other trees, the work was ok and they cleaned up very well, but the holly tree at the front corner of our house was the most important. I know that the tree can be trimmed the way I requested because there are trees all over our neighborhood in close proximity to houses as ours is and they are trimmed the way I was requesting. I guess now I will have to find out who trims those trees and pay someone else to fix this. When you're new to an area, it]s hard to know whom to call which is why I tried Home Advisor. The customer service of this tree service is in question because of their scheduling ( i.e., an afternoon appointment taking place at 8:45 a.m. on a one hour notice), and the provider's refusal to follow up on a valid customer's concern.

A & K answered my request for a bid promptly and kept to their word on pricing and scheduling. They gave me a fair bid. I was extremely impressed with their knowledge and tree cutting skills!!! They are honest, fair, and prompt. I will hire them again when needed and recommend them to anyone who needs trees removed.

We had a difficult tree removal and brush clearing problem. They literally went over a cliff to remove trees blocking views. They did every thing we asked on time and on our budget. The price was half that of others. He is a master of the chain saw.

I got four price quotes for my project, trim and remove dead wood from two maples, and remove one dead pine tree. A&K had the best price. Were on site within one week and arrived on time. Did their work, cleaned up, and hauled off all the cuttings and debris. I do not believe this task could have been done any better by anyone, regardless of the price, so I got the best job possible from this provider, A&K TS. Courteous, professional and on time both days, I would not hesitate to hire then again..... RooDog
