After much deliberation and realizing that I had entirely too much on my plate between work and renovations to the house I was moving to, I decided to treat myself. I hired this company to do a final cleaning and professional carpet cleaning of the condo I was moving out of, so I could focus on the other things I had to worry about. I provided my credit card and had several conversations with the owner to arrange the service. I was told that they offered a clean out and carpet cleaning package for about $500. The owner was very nice and responsive to calls. We were all set up for the last day of the month, and I was to have a walk-through with the property manager that evening to see that it was all done to their satisfaction to ensure the return of my deposit. I was there in the morning when the "two guys" who were coming were suppose to be there, but weren't. After I left, I spoke to the owner who let me know that the guys were held up by traffic but that they had arrived at the condo and were working. He thought they'd be done by early afternoon. I showed up that evening and found that they had been there... had left a copy of my bill on the counter, and that was it. NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING had even been cleaned. This may sound like an exaggeration, but they hadn't cleaned a thing, not even wiped the counters. The carpets hadn't been vacuumed and certainly not shampooed. The bathrooms, kitchen, appliances, floors, walls, NOTHING had been touched. Everything was as we had left it when we moved everything into the UHaul. Every dust bunny remained. The only thing that I found was two large wet spots in two of the three bedrooms, that were tinged orange and took quite some time and effort for me to clean. Needless to say, I was irate. I can only assume that they showed up and had a nap instead, but quickly dumped some water on the rugs before they left. Only the large spots were wet, the rest dry. I called the owner who really couldn't do anything to help me at that time as I had to be completed by midnight and it was almost 4:30pm. At one point during my rant he did offer to come himself, though there was no way that he could've completed the work himself before midnight. At that time I needed to do it myself to be sure it got done. Obviously the walk through with the property manager was cancelled, and I had to pull together a team, buy all the cleaning supplies (as the condo was empty), rent a carpet shampooer, etc... after a long day of work, we all did the clean out. We finished up just after midnight, had to drive to our new town, hitting bed after 1am and needing to work the next day. The owner did ask me to send him my new address so that he could mail me some coupons for future services, which I opted against. He did sound sincerely apologetic and asked me to send him the pictures I took so that he could "deal" with the employees. I only hope he fired them swiftly so that this never happens to anyone else. I kept thinking
