The carpet installer known to me only as *Jimmy* was rude, treated me like a child, and made unwanted sexual advances towards me continuously over the 4 days install. Below are some examples of how both Jimmy and his assistant felt it was appropriate to treat me (an early-30s married woman): 1. Jimmy walked into my bedroom unannounced and without so much as knocking. My husband and I were in bed together, all of a sudden Jimmy was standing over us explaining why he could not stick to the install plan as we had agreed upon a couple of hours before. A grown man walked into my BEDROOM fully unannounced and advanced towards me with every word he spoke until I stood up and physically put my hand out to stop him. 2. Jimmy asked me *bend over right here in front of me so you can see the gap* A gap in the flooring that I had pointed out to him upon his arrival that day. His assistant leered behind him with his arms crossed as Jimmy boldly told me to *touch the floor* less than a foot and a half from where he was standing. 3. When Jimmy decided that he did not like the order of the rooms receiving the carpet install that we had agreed upon the first day, he verbally argued with me- raised his voice, puffed his chest out and stood over me to try and intimidate me into bending to his will. 4. Jimmy repeatedly told me what he thought about how well or not well my choices in renovating my house would do in resale- completely unsolicited. 5. Jimmy saw it necessary to explain to me exactly how a hammer works. 6. Jimmy left his tools and other supplies strewn all over my house, driveway, and yard. Including leaving the brand new carpet pad propped up outside against the base of my deck on some damp grass for 2 full days. 7. Jimmy repeatedly criticized my husband and kept saying things to me like *since your husband is not there for you, I can be* or *I can take care of that because your husband is no interested* or *I know your husband is not paying attention, but I am* 8. Jimmy repeatedly asked when my husband works even phrasing it a few times as *what times of day are you home alone?*. What is perhaps even worse than Jimmy s behavior was the manager of the Sonora locations reaction to my letting him know that these events had occurred. Brian did flatly apologize for a couple of times fishing for me to tell him that this was all okay. It is not okay and I will not accept a halfway apology. Brian felt it appropriate to ask why I had *hidden* this behavior from him. This was Jimmy s only job that week and I did not need him getting removed, reprimanded, and then upset from losing work with my address still in his hand. My waiting to speak up speaks volumes about how unsafe and threatened I felt as a direct result of this man fully knowing where I live and when I am likely to be alone. This man made unwanted sexual innuendos, entered my occupied bedroom without permission, talked down to me, and made me so uncomfortable in my own home that my husband took a day off work so I would not have to be alone with him for a single moment. Abbey Carpet sent a man to my HOME whom they had not vetted. Brian justified this man s blatant harassment of me (sexual and otherwise) and told me that he would take care of it he has not. I fear for the safety of every woman whose address is given to this company. Is this a company you want servicing your home? Is this a man who you would trust to be alone with your wife? Your daughter? Yourself? I strongly recommend that you choose someone, anyone else to do your flooring install. I fear the next complaint Jimmy gets will be reported to the police and not just the *manager* of an Abbey Carpet.

Project was the installation of 1800 sf of luxury vinyl plank. Not an easy project with us, animals and furniture in the house. Very professional; solution and detail oriented. Finished on time, under budget, looks fantastic. Thanks to Guy, Brian, Terry, Jimmy, Steve, Daniel and Pete - you guys were great!

Great attention to detail from both the owner and the installer. Ordered 15 foot wide just so the seam would be in a better location. Installation is everything and Zack really knows what he is doing.

The help they bring in is day laborer both of them talked me in to installing the floor over a dry rotten sub floor so now I'm stuck with cricky floor The stain they used on base trim didn't match the cabinets.

    Response from Company:

I am sorry you feet that way but our installers are not "day laborers". The base was very difficult to match and we tried twice to do it. The subfloor was not rotten-we do not install over rotten floors. The patch that was done by the previous contractor was not blocked up proper hence the squeaking. It's a subfloor squeak. All this was relayed at the time of the project but time was of the essence and another general to fix the subfloor was not wanted. I am sorry you are dissatisfied because we take pride in our employees, our jobs and our business. Thank you Guy Perea Owner
