He was to refinish a mahogany table top that had a high shine. The marks were gone but it had a mat finish. So the top different color than the legs.

Abe is an **old school** guy in that he uses phone calls rather than email or apps for communication. That led to some uncomfortable miscommunication. I requested a live edge dining table be resurfaced. Got a quote. Then asked if a matching bench could be done. He said yes. He and his crew picked up the very heavy furniture quickly and safely. After work was done, the table was definitely better. Some stain marks on the table surface, but not too visible. He said the total cost was 50% more than the quote for the table because of the bench (which he did not include in an updated quote). However, he never gave any quote for the bench nor did he say anything when the furniture was picked up. This was an uncomfortable negotiation with us standing in my home. This would have been solved by better communication prior to work beginning.

Abe is a real perfectionist. I hired him to refinish a 130+ year-old, beaten-up bureau - chipped, painted over, a missing top that had been replaced with a pine board. It had been sitting in my parentsâ basement in this state for 60 years. I held onto it, as it had come over from Germany in the 1890â s with my great-great-grandparents. I figured someday I would get it refinished. The day finally came. I started searching for someone to do the work and found Abe. Abe painstakingly stripped several layers of paint off the bureau, repaired the trim on it and refinished it. He also took it upon himself to go to a special hardware store to buy period-authentic brass handles for the front of the bureau. Finally, the period in which this piece would have been built meant that it needed a marble top. I didnâ t want marble, so I picked out a beautiful piece of Deer Isle pink granite, from Maine. My motherâ s family was from Maine and my Dad and Mom started taking the family to Maine when my sister and I were small children. We vacationed in the same general area of Maine as Deer Isle. Even though granite was not true to the period this piece was built in, it felt right to introduce another part of my parents and our family history by using Maine granite. Anyway, coincidentally, the project wrapped up on Christmas Eve. Both the finished granite top and the bureau were delivered this morning. Upon seeing both, together, as a newly-refinished bureau, it took my breath away. Abe did a beautiful job on the bureau. Gone is the chipped paint. Visible is the beautiful, burled walnut that was hidden underneath. The exquisite detail in the carving on the bureau shines through. Abe is a real craftsman and this piece is clear evidence of that. It is terrific to see the bureau come to life and to now be a beautiful representation of my familyâ s ancestry and legacy. I will use Abe again, no question. I trusted him, based solely on his reviews, with a piece of furniture that is irreplaceable to me. He came through - exceeding my expectations. Have no hesitation in hiring Abe. He was a real partner throughout this entire project!

Very professional and very nice at a good price if you think your furniture is not repairable he will think of something to fix it just give him the job.

Abe did a terrific job refinishing a kitchen table for us at half the cost that 2 others had proposed! He picked up the table and delivered in two weeks which is exactly what he told me it would take. The table looks brand new. Would recommend him highly.

Abe did marvelous refinishing work on two tables that had belonged to my grandmother, and i am 87. He picked up and delivered them within two weeks. I am delighted with his work, an d highly recommend him.

I hired Abe to refinish a desk that was about 75 years old and full of character. Abe did incredible work. His estimation of timing was exact. He picked up and delivered the desk upon completion. I am so happy to put the desk to work again.

Abe returned my initial call the same day and was able to provide an estimate over the phone for repairing loose legs on a pedestal table. After he described the steps he would take to complete the repair, I felt confident he was very skilled and would do a high quality job. We scheduled the job for 1.5 weeks later, but I was pleasantly surprised when Abe called and said he would be able to fit the job in sooner. Abe provided pick-up and delivery as part of the total cost. Abe completed the job on time and did not revise the original estimate. The work was thorough and high quality. Abe was very professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend making Abe your first call as he will provide you an honest assessment.
