Welp, as promised, I am getting back to you at the conclusion of the kitchen renovation in my home. I hired Able Body Construction to finish my parent's basement and I am thrilled with the finished product! I was able to oversee this project from my own home which is 3,000 miles away because Sean's communication skilled were excellent from start to finish. He and Aiden handled all permits and inspections with ease. They stayed on a very tight schedule finishing the project exactly when they said they would. They were meticulous! They turned my parent's unfinished basement into a beautiful living space complete with a three piece bathroom. I can't say enough great things about this very talented duo. Able Body Construction just finished a complete renovation of the kitchen, dining room, living room and foyer of a home I recently purchased. I canâ t possibly express how pleased I am with the wonderful work that Sean and his son Aidan performed - both of these men are talented craftsmen! As is the case with many older homes, my kitchen was closed off to the living and dining areas except for two small doorways, the linoleum was worn, the cabinets and Formica counters aged, and the lighting was terrible. Furthermore, the hardwood floors were destroyed and the ceilings featured a mid-20th century swirled plaster effect. Yuck! Sean and his crew removed the walls between the three areas creating an open floor plan, installed recessed LED lighting, a new window, and door to the rear deck, new cabinets, new porcelain tile floor, elegant granite countertops, all new appliances, new tile, treads, rails and balusters in the foyer. The pièce de résistance is a custom-built island which features a handcrafted top made of reclaimed barn wood - the result is STUNNING!!! The crew also re-plastered the ceilings throughout the second floor and refinished the floors throughout. Everything is gorgeous, light, bright, open, airy and new! I am thrilled! I have found my pros for pretty much anything that can go wrong or needs fixing in my home. They offer a vast array of services. Sean and his sons were awesome, professional, and very good at what they do! The workmanship was excellent. Just to sum up what I hired them for: My house had termite damage from the previous owners. While the termites were already gone, over the years the damage caused the house to sink and crush the sills that the house rests on the foundation. Unfortunately, as the project proceeded, more damage was uncovered after wood and barriers were removed. Thus making the work that needed to be done a little more extensive. Sean was extremely communicative, worked with me to go over the extra work, and did his best to cut costs when possible. After all, is said and done, Sean and his company are reliable, honest, and skilled at what they do. I would recommend them to anyone!

Overall I was very happy their service. Sean was personable, honest and communicated well. Quality or work was high, and the price was reasonable. What impressed me most had to do with our project. We asked for a demo of the existing deck, and to build a new one of approximately the same size. Once the demo was complete we discovered rot along the sill plate, which required structural work to the frame of the house. Sean took pictures and video tape of the damage, and talked us through how this changed the scope, (cost and timing of the project). Around the same time, my wife and I had a surprise expense (sewer line replacement) that was also costly. Sean took this into consideration, and completed the re-framing project for basically material cost (e.g. no labor cost). The framing was certainly outside the initial scope of the project, but instead of using that as an opportunity to turn a greater profit, Sean acted with integrity and kindness. He also worked nights and weekends to attempt to make up for the lost time due to the increased scope of the project. I would certainly contract with Able Body Construction again in the future, and would recommend them to both friends and family.

Able Body Construction helped me with repairs to my damaged basement. I was very happy with the quickness in their response time, and with getting me an estimate. Once they provided me with the estimate, they got to work in a timely manner. The timeline they provided me with was perfect and the job was done to perfection in the amount of time they estimated it would. Their work was very professional and they left the basement looking new again. They gave me more than I expected and the total bill was right in line with the estimate! No Surprise expenses!! I would totally recommend Able Body Construction for any home improvement project you would need.

Comment: Gave a fair bid and communicated well at all times -especially when problems were uncovered. He was honest and very reasonable to deal with. His work was -is- beautiful and draws many compliments, even from other tradesmen Ive had here. Altogether fantastic, two thumbs up and recommend highly!

I feel so fortunate to have found such a trustworthy and skilled gentleman. There truly wasn't a moment of disappointment from start to finish. We had a ugly paneled fireplace which he redid and built in book shelves.

Did a 100% replacement on an original 1957 full bathroom and refreshed our half bath also circa 1957. Very happy with both jobs and 3 years later all work looks great. Sean had to deal with old tile, old pipes and old tub/sink & toilet. He did a great job!

Sean installed large pocket doors in our new home. Project also involved moving baseboard heating and light electrical. Looks great and we are thrilled results and his team cleaned up thoroughly each day. Have since had Sean back for a couple of other small projects that went equally as well. Highly recommend.

The quality of Sean's work in installing the wood floors in our home was absolutely superb. Sean pays meticulous attention to detail in his work. He is also an artist. He designed and installed the staircase and railings that blend in so beautifully with the wood floors. Not a day goes by that I don't admire the work done by Sean. He is also cognizant of people living in the house and takes appropriate time and measures to minimize any disruption during the installation.
