She was pushy, impatient, and not very friendly. I terminated our collaboration as quickly as possible for my peace of mind. It was overall a stressful and very unpleasant experience.

The designer from Abode,Kathy, fully explained what her services would be and what the cost was...after having met several times and and going over some basic concepts I think this is a going to be a great partnership

I know what I like when I see it but have a hard time articulating it. After our first meeting, Kathy came back with beautiful options--I loved them all! She helped me narrow down the choices to what would work best for me and my family, ordered everything , set it all up and kept track of the budget and delivery schedules. Very easy process-great to deal with! I would highly recommend!

We looked at 3 other staging contractors and she was the only one who actually listened to what our budget was and kept within it. I have been a developer for over 40 years and I use stagers frequently, and she will be the first on my list to call in the future!

I had a unique project where I wanted a headboard in my master bedroom with a matching dresser, night stands and have our TV in the wall. The uniqueness was that, we couldn't get my headboard up the stairs, so it needed to be built in the room. So we hired Abode for this project. She said we could get the room done for $2000 and that seemed reasonable. From there things went gradually down hill..I unfortunately had a bad experience with Abode. I had been very lenient with this project and was willing take on aspects of getting this room done that I clearly communicated that I wanted to pay someone to do for me. The service and communication was unacceptable leaving me to make a decision to move on. First, We had agreed-upon the expectation to complete the room for $2000 that I stated clearly in beginning, the budget then increased due to a lack in experience with my unique project at hand. Second, the project dragged on for two months with no end in sight, and after 2 months we only had the room painted. Third, I've made attempts to contact Abode both email and phone in order to find out the status of the room and discuss things and a lot of my questions were not being answered and the original specifications and needs for the room were not being kept in mind. Last, Abode requested for $200 before the end of the project with no plan on executing and completing the room, when we had agreed upon from the beginning that I would pay the deposit and then pay the remaining once the project was completed. Essentially I feel like at the end of the day, I paid Abode $400 for her to coordinate my room to be painted (which was another $400). I last tried to call to discuss things, and she in turn emailed me the request for $200 to keep working on the project...Since I could not get a hold of her by phone, I wrote her telling her I found things unacceptable and I received no email acknowledging things. Almost feel like I got taken advantage of by this company.

Kathy has been great to work with, especially given that I live out of state and she is doing all the legwork for me in my new home. She "gets" my vision and has been wonderful and selecting furnishings that will fit in my new home with my family.

Kathy is delightful to work with. Her design recommendations were spot on and I appreciate how responsive she is. Kathy carefully listens to my ideas and executes flawlessly within budget. I never thought this process would be as enjoyable and fast as it has been.
