Blinds or Shades - Install or Replace
Tim arrived when promised and did a excellent job. He went above and beyond. Also did a little extra job at no charge ! Very knowledgeable and friendly ! I will definitely call him again.

I had a large wrap-around porch on a historic home that needed a complete rebuild. Tim of Above & Beyond was the answer I needed. His knowledgeand professionalism walked me through the cost/benefit options, impressed the Building Inspector, and satisfied the City Historical Commission, AND completed the project on time and on budget. When does that ever happen?! He was proactive, responsive, and his bid was highly competitive with three other bids I received. The end result is solid and looks great. He is a hands-on licensed and insured general contractor. I look forward to having him do some work on other properties I own and highly recommend him to friends and family.

Said on phone not knowing what problem is but that he could fix door for $100, has seen all kinds of problems. Came in timely manner. I thought hinges would need repair as small kids had been hanging and swinging on door. I said OK. He was here less than 10 minutes. Examined position of door, pounded down threshold and 10 min. later he was done. I really thought he would not charge $100 for that! Not a happy camper. Door closed though.

"This is the worst review I have received and I am not a happy camper either. I contacted this customer the same day I received the lead and set an appointment after explaining that I would have to charge $100 with the travel time. This address is about 25 minutes away with winter travel. She was happy to get help on such a small job where most contractors wont reply. I showed up as promised and spent some time explaining all the parts and functions of the door to Claudia. I first checked the hinges she was concerned about and determined they were not the problem; I then laid down a tarp to protect floor and grabbed my tools. I removed the protective caps on threshold and made adjustments at screws to seal correctly. The statement that I "pounded down" threshold is completely untrue. This is an adjustable plastic threshold and can not be adjusted with a hammer. I then noticed that her door seal was not correct and made adjustments to that so it sealed correctly. Before leaving, I explained the work performed and had a friendly exchange with customer. I left feeling that she was very happy with my service. I am actually surprised that I only got 4 stars for customer service. I contacted her same day, made and kept my appointment, made professional repairs, worked clean, and took the time to explain all my repairs. I also could not have been any more friendly and stuck to my estimated charge that was discussed prior to setting appointment. Some people just do not understand the cost and time to a business to have an equipped service vehicle on site. I occur much more cost than just the time it takes to complete a job. I felt I was very clear to her on this during our phone call BEFORE setting an appointment."

Tim with Above & Beyond has done interior and exterior Handyman jobs for many of our homes at Access Property Management over the past two years. Things that are most important to us that he excels in are: communication, follow up, quality work, timely billing and personality with tenant residents. Tim has fulfilled many jobs and scopes of work including anything from replacing door knobs to rehab Project Management. His follow up and constant communication are a lost art in this industry and Tim seems to have both of these down pat. We feel we pay a very fair price for the service we receive and the finished project. One other item worth noting is Tim was not afraid to tell us upfront if he could not do a job. In our industry this is huge as there is nothing worse then a massive delay or a contractor having no idea how to complete a project. We would recommend Tim and Above & Beyond for all Handyman work.

He kept in constant communication with me as to the scheduling of the repair (outside job, was delayed by weather). The quote was reasonable. When the needed repair was not as extensive as first feared, he took significant $$ off the quote for the final bill. Very honest and high integrity. I would and will hire him again for any job in my home!

The project was to finish the entire basement. Above and Beyond made the process very simple and easy. My goal was to get a bathroom and 2 bedrooms out of the basement. A&B came over and did a free assessment on how I could get that done. In a matter of a few days, I had been visited by a plumber and electrician as so Above and Beyond could give me an accurate estimate. Everyone that came was certified and owned their own business. Very knowledgeable. I received the bid, accepted it and the project was off and running. Above and Beyond scheduled everything. Everything was done in a timely manner. Estimate was within $160. Great finish product

I am very impressed with the integrity of Tim Gaffin who did several jobs for me: electrical, plumbing and construction repair. His work ethic was impeccable, calling with confirmations, suggesting money saving ideas. As a single woman I finally found someone I can trust completely with my best interest and with honesty and safety in my home. Very good experience and I like the idea that these independent contractors work closely together, i.e, calling the craftsmen they know if necessary and knowing all of them have the same standards.
