Excellent Job

THE QUALITY OF THE JOB WAS POOR, THE PRICE WAS HIGH, THE CHIP ON THE BATHROOM THINK THEY MADE WAS NEVER FIXED, THE MONEY WAS NOT REIMBURST IN FULL.

The first few weks the service was

The cleaning service was very satisfactory. The team was delayed in getting to my house but the owner called and let me know the status of when they would arrive. They were able to fit me in on a days notice. The team leader walked through the house with me to verify that I was satisfied. I will continue with the service to see how it goes.

I was very pleased. It was a pricey project regardless who I hired but these folks made it worth it. They worked me in before the holidays. They did a wonderful job and I will keep the number for the future. I will use them instead of searching. A+++++. (the owner even came to help clean!).

I will give it one more try but I was not 100 % satisfied

3/02/04 This company still refuses to give out it's insurance information. The insurance information Service Magic has on file is not valid, the policy was cancelled by the insurance copmpany for non-payment by Above and Beyond. Since it was cancelled 20 days before the incident in November they can't help. If you want to use this company, confirm the insurance info up front with the insurance company. Whatever company you chose get the insurance before the work. The whole point of insurance is so you don't have to deal with biased owners on what the fix should be if their people have an accident. I will not let another maid service in my house. This experience put a black eye on the industry as far as I am concerned. What happened to customer satisfaction? 1/22/04Hmmm....Well if you want free carpet bleaching and then a fight to get the the right thing done, this company is for you. Our 30 day old home was perfect. With a newborn on the way I decided to get my wife a cleaning service. After 5 hours on the job, they left my house half cleaned and a nice bleach stain in the foyer. After discussions with the folks who installed our carpet and do not recommend a patch job in a high traffic area, above and beyond are still trying to go the cheap route instead of doing the right thing a replacing the new carpet they screwed up, with new un-patched carpet. I'm not sure what the problem is since they do claim to be insured and bonded.

We had them do a full cleaning which we were less than happy with, but they promised to come back and do better next time. Company policies include customer satisfaction and followup, but they were having problems with the local cleaning staffs, which they are taking steps to rectify. We are giving them another chance because they were very responsive to our concerns.

I was pleased at the overall appearance of the house, however when examining a little further I found that the bedroom furniture had not been dusted, the wood floors appeared to have been mopped with water only. There were water spots and the floors were not clean. Behind doors and in corners I found dirt and dust. The bathroom counters and sinks had also not been thouroughly cleaned.

There was a miscommunication on who would provide the cleaning products for my marble floors. They are returning to complete the job.

There were several things left undone that are part of a general house cleaning. I hire a service with the understanding that the job is done right the first time, not that they will come back and do it over until it is right. Things like hair left in a bathtub, obvious dirt on the door frame, dust on ceiling fan blades and a load of dirty sheets still sitting on top of the wash machine are a bit too obvious to ignore. We will be contacting Above and Beyond now that the holidays are over and sharing our dissatisfaction with them personally.

Overall, I was very pleased with this agent. They came the day before Thanksgiving, and worked very efficiently and courteously. I may use them again in the future.

I would recommend Above and Beyond to friends. They did the deep clean and did a great job. A few spots were missed but they are going to fix them when they come back for my normal cleaning.

They did not leave an invoice with us and have yet to schedule weekly service. My place required "industrial strength" cleaning that their first efforts went far towards accomplishing (but still left a fair amount undone). I had expected more agressive follow up and have heard nothing from them since they came on November 18th. Subsequently, they were so late for the following week's appointment (did not arrive by 6PM after promise to be finished by 6:30PM after promise to be at house by early afternoon, then by 4:30....) that we had to cancel the appointment. We will reserve judgement (given that this was a holiday week) until next week.

Apartment had to be re-cleaned after intital cleaning. Several key areas that were stressed in all communications, including a written note left on the kitchen counter, were not cleaned. Mini blinds in several rooms, baseboards, inside of the freezer, behind the toaster oven, the medicine cabinet in the bathroom, etc. Also when I returned home from work my house was 92 degrees as the thermostat was cranked around as far as it would go and had been running non stop for about 4 hours. The danger of a fire or explosion made me more upset than the use of that much of my heating oil. Not to mention my discomfort at having to clean the areas missed myself in that heat. It took 4 hours of open windows to bring the temperature back to 70 degrees. Upon hearing my complaints, The office manager called my to reschedule to reclean the areas missed. I had already had to take care of most of them myself as the house was being shown that evening. We arranged for her to tidy up after my move out to make up for the earlier issues. To be truthful the second time around I was happy with the cleanliness of the house, however, when I returned home the house was 40 degrees as 3 windows had been left open. Needless to say I will never use, nor recommend this service again.
