i hired absolute plumbing and Jim came out and routed our lines. The toilet still was not working so he stayed for hours trying to figure out the issue. Once he figured it out he was done quickly. His price was excellent. I highly recommend this company and definitely will use them again. Will recommend to friends and family, Thank you so much Jim, your work was greatly appreciated!!!

(also reviewed on Yelp) First, let me say that I HATE writing negative reviews about anyone's business. Good reviews are not only about delivering a product, bur equally important is the customer service that goes with it. On the day I originally spoke with Jim about replacing a water heater (8/7/2018), we were back and forth all day on the phone. The next day, which was to be the installation day, we also texted/talked several times. He kept saying he was still coming into the evening and arrived around 11:00 p.m. He had agreed that at the end of the job, he would remove the old water heater from the premises. (And isn't that standard procedure for professional contractors to pick up after themselves anyway?) I was not on-site when they were done (12:30 a.m.) but he texted me a picture that he had completed the job. He collected the money prior to the work. It was my disabled son's house and he did not go into the basement to check anything. He was so grateful about them coming out at such an inopportune time that he foolishly offered Jim a $100 tip which was accepted. When I went down in the basement the next day, I was shocked to see that the old heater AND the carton from the new one had not been removed. OF COURSE, my attempts to contact Jim by text/phone calls went unanswered for more than 24 hours. Long story short....today is 22 days later and at least two time frames have been agreed upon only to find that Jim is a n-shoe/no-call. He has given personal health problems and logistics as reasons why it is so difficult for him to complete his part of the agreement. The $100 tip would have more than covered someone else removing this heavy object and large box from the basement. I am left wondering if ALL customers have this problem with him, or is it only the ones in certain towns, which I won't name? I even let him know yesterday that I would review his service with 2 stars, but I guess he could not care less...no response. Will ABSOLUTELY NOT use this company again.....I am one disgruntled senior citizen of color! Thank goodness, the heater works!!!

"I went to her house to collect the money because it was late, and her son lived further away. She obviously didnt trust me, and came outide and looked in my truck to make sure that I had a water heater in it. After I'd just drove 25 minutes to get there. And It was not $100.00 tip at all. He was an alcoholic and begged my helper and I to go and get him some vodka. So we were trying to hunt down an open pharmacy at 2:00 am. Not something that I normally do for my customers. I also provided a top of the line 50 gallon State Select water heater for $800.00 installed, because I felt bad that I had been unable to respond promptly, as we were stuck on a slab leak job. The house was also on a well system, and the old tank was full of nasty red sludge from the iron in it, and leaking all over even after the tank was emptied. And needed to sit until it quit makeing such a mess. I very hesitantly went on a wild goose chase for her sons liquor, but I really wasn't makeing much profit on the water heater, so an exta $100.00 helped ballance the cost.When we returned the garrage door was closed, it was almost 3:00am and had been an extremely long day for my helper and I and we left."

Water Heater Repair or Service
My 14 year old Hot water heater started leaking . I went to Home Advisor.com and they gave me two Plumbing Services .. I asked to get a quote on both, but 10 min. later the owner of Absolute called and I liked what I was told. It was late at night and he said they would be at my house right after a job they had in the morning. A Technician showed up around noon and gave me a price I liked . I told him they've got the job and he started on the job of disconnecting my old one and removed it ! A couple hours later the owner showed up with a new one. It looked much better than my old one ! Then the other Plumbing Service called and I told them I already had the job done .. The new one had the same water capacity ( 40 gal ) , but it was much larger ( more insulation ? ) and they had to make some adjustments, but did not ask for more money than I was quoted !! I was very happy with their work and I doubt if another Plumbing Service would have done the job as good, or cheaper ! Before calling Home Advisors I had checked water heater prices and if I would have purchased one and did the job myself I'm sure it would have cost me more !!

"I did return her phone call and fixed the problem. I was layed up with cracked pelvic, and broken leg from being hit by a pick up truck, and one of my service techs had a small leak. It was due to a bad water line."

Both toilets in my house would not flush. Jim was able to come out today when I called. He called on follow up to advise running late from prior job but not his way. He assessed the situation and kept me apprised of what he needed to do to correct my problem. Very courteous and professional. In leaving he insisted on wiping up water from his equipment that dripped thru my house. The price was reasonable. This is the second time I turned to HomeAdvisor for a repair. I will be keeping this business card if should I need other work. I would not hesitate to recommend Jim to others.

He wasted at least a half hour trying to fix the faucet I hired him to replace before giving up and installing a new one. And then he charged us for the extra time. He also continuously talked about personal matters the entire time he was working.

"I was initially asked to repair or replace the outside spigot. They can be very tricky to replace sometimes. A 25 cent washer verses a $38.00 valve plus the labor is why I tried my best to clean & grease and repair the old one. Also the outside faucet looked really good for its age. But after doing my best to repair it, I determened that there was a hairline crack in the brass seat, and it was not fixable. As far as our conversation went, she continuously spoke about her sick husband and I was having severe stomach trouble at the time and did tell her that I almost didnt come because I had been ill for a few days. Turned out to be an ulcer, and I am fine now, but was in much pain at the time. I did not stop to talk, but had conversation while working. She also asked me to replace a broken toilet seat and offered to pay extra. I told her that there would be no additional charge that I charge for my time and material. I actually gave her 30 minutes of free labor. I was there for over 2hrs, but charged her 1.5. I also gave her 10% off of the labor because she was a senior citizen. My servive charge is only $35.00 and where she was located took me over an hour to get there and back. Many plumbers charge $80.00 just to show up and acess the problem. My prices are very reasonable compared to many."

"The handle was old and made of pewter and it snapped while adjusting it. Of course I am going to charge for the new brass lever. I gave the customer a quality part for cost, no mark up. It is not my responsibility to give away new parts if yours are old and worn out."
