The sawyers made clean, straight cuts when quartering the logs. The logs, big logs, were stacked on the driveway. They complained when I told them where to place the quartered logs saying the order was only to cut the logs not to move them. In order to cut the logs, they absolutely had to move them out of the way as they cut them or else they would not have been able to cut the logs on the bottom layer. So they moved them 10-15 feet using a hand crane. This is what I told the woman who wrote the bid, apparently she did not write it down. Be sure the written bid is explicit as per your wishes.
