When Todd came out to check out my mac pro laptop computer screen he did I thought an amazing job replacing the screen until I had problems with the keyboard that I did not have before. Todd took the laptop to Apple store and I was told by Todd and the Apple Store a new keyboard was needed. I get a text from Todd saying the laptop was ready. He could or would not explain to me how the laptop could be ready in 2 days. He got upset with me when I asked. I would be careful if you hire him on asking him questions on his repairs. He is very unprofessional in my option.
Response from Accion IT Consulting, LLC
"Bless her heart; The entire review is fundamentally incorrect. Helen does not have a MacBook Pro, and Helen was not the actual client. This transaction summarizes that Helen's granddaughter got a new screen replacement the day all three persons could meet at her house. (Granddaughter was 20 minutes late) Accion IT purchased the screen, drove to Helen's house, installed the new screen for the time and amount quoted to Helen. (Which is the amount she ended up paying) After the screen was installed, there was an issue brought up by the granddaughter that the keyboard doesn't work. (I have no way to verify if the keyboard was working before the screen was installed.) For no additional cost, I offered to bring the MacBook to Apple (They have more diagnostic equipment than I can have in someone's living room) to address the keyboard issue. (4, R, G, N and delete key did not work) The initial Apple estimate was seven days. They had it ready in 2 days. I had an additional 2 hours of calls with Helen over two days after I informed her it was available. Helen was texting me up to 10 pm on a Sunday to know why it was ready early. (Helen was distraught when I had to go to bed for work the next day and couldn't talk any longer.) The MacBook was ready, and all I needed was a time to drop it off. I finally had to text her granddaughter and tell her it's available. After two days, the Granddaughter and I decided to meet at The Home Depot to deliver the MacBook. Helen had another 45+ minute conversation (until she hung up on me). Helen called the next day to discuss that was unacceptable, and I needed to go to her house to deliver the laptop. Once I got to Helen's, then I had to go to then her granddaughter's home to drop off the computer. I had followed up with the granddaughter the day after I delivered it to her home, and she was happy with the screen, and the keyboard was working well. I don't understand how fixing all of the issues with the computer five days earlier than expected deserves a rating of a 3? I have many, many texts and calls where I kept both the Granddaughter and Helen up to date on each step and the actions I was taking on their behalf. They were both informed at each stage of the repair. I even backed up the MacBook's data for no cost as she did not do that before the monitor installation as requested. The granddaughter was grateful that her MacBook had been backed up and another 30+ minute conversation with Helen on what a backup was and how it was good to have. I take great pride in my work, and I went out of the way to take care of the MacBook and the clients. I kept my word and promise to Helen. I only billed for what I initially quoted. I stand behind my work and make clients happy if that is possible. I wish Helen and her granddaughter the best. - Todd Settlemyre"
