Accurate A/C & Heating Systems

I contacted Dean Nunez based on a recommendation from a friend when I asked for an AC referral. At first, he was very nice and sent a worker out the next day for an AC service/repair. The technician under orders of Dean, put 9 pounds of Freon in my system which is only a 2.5 ton system. The technician, changed the filters, added the Freon and left. The system did not even get 24 hours, the Freon leaked out due to a leaky coil. The technician was advised not to check for leaks in the system by Dean. Now I am unable to get Dean to remedy the situation. Please do not use this company. They stole my 1,400 and have not answered the phone. Lesson learned, never pay cash for any repair, always have your AC system tested and have the results documented before any work is done.

My husband called Accurate AC, run by Dean Nunez, because one of our split systems on one side stopped blowing cool air. His son Dennis came out on 7/4/23 but was unfamiliar with our specific system (which we were unaware of at the time). Dennis said he used 14 lbs of Freon, that the system was empty, and overcharged us, which we paid in cash because we were appreciative of him coming so quickly and seemingly fixing it and because we thought we were dealing with a professional. The air was not blowing out cold yet, but he said to shut off the system for half an hour and let everything settle, and then he left after we paid him. That evening, with the AC still blowing out hot air, both Dennis and Dean were completely unreachable (which was disappointing considering they boast a 24-hour hotline), despite many calls. We have pets and two small children, and we had only one room that had a working AC (the other split system) in 80-90° weather. My husband called them multiple times, and unfortunately, after threatening to report his company to the BBB, Dean finally returned his call on 7/5/23. Dean proceeded to curse at my husband, tell him he does not care if we report him or about reviews, and that he knew where we lived (why say that as a business owner if that is not some kind of threat?). and ultimately said that he would send someone after my husband demanded he send someone else. After that, we spoke to the son, Dennis, who said he was going to come back today, that he only had one client this morning, and that if he could not fix it, he would refund us the full amount. That was around 10 a.m. We decided to have someone else (DWP System Corp., highly recommended as David is actually a professional who was able to fix the system) scheduled to come by in case they did not show up since we have not received any communication from Accurate AC except for us consistently calling them and then being constantly lied to (be there in a half hour at 2:45 p.m., for example). When Dennis finally showed up at 9 p.m. with other guys (while the other new technician we hired was almost done fixing the problem), he told us this story: he will definitely refund us, he will talk to his mom, and they will talk to his dad. He told us that his dad is a piece of work. He told us that he does not have access to the business funds, so he cannot actually refund us right then and there (despite us paying him in cash the day before), but not to worry, he will have his dad send us a cashier check. Dennis leaves again after a lesson from the new tech who actually fixed the AC on how to fix this specific system. Not a half hour later, Dennis texts us that he spoke to his dad and that his dad said that they cannot refund us because we had another tech come out and we were supposed to give them 48 hours to fix it (but nowhere in writing does it say this, and Dennis himself told us that Dean told him to tell us to go F*% ourselves) and that he does not know what to do. I called Dean again, and he hung up on us, texted us that we are hiring another tech and that it was not even 24 hours from when they came yesterday (lol, yeah, it was over 30 hours), and basically said that we are SOL. So I highly do not recommend this company, and I would advise anyone else to be smart and avoid it.

AVOID at ALL COST Total scam. $550 of Freon put in a nonworking system Then wanted $1000 to put in fan motor which was done for 200 Do not call this company They are the first to get to you when you are desperate then your are a victim.

Dean was very helpful and first tried to help me remedy the problem without incurring a service fee. When that didn't work he had his technician at the house at the time it was convenient for me within hours of us speaking. Carlos was very friendly and took care of everything quickly and to our satisfaction.

They tried to overcharge for Freon. When I suggested the price was too high they immediately dropped the price. I had to keep encouraging them to examine various aspects of my ac system. They found several issues that they would not have found had I not pointed them out. They did not seem knowledgeable about the air filtration options.

They do fast service and you'll be happy with them.

Dean was very knowledgeable, professional and quick. He understood the problem right away and remedied it. It was expensive, but I think that was based on the current market price of materials, not an attempt to deceive us. Overall, A worthwhile exchange.

Definitely use again

Impression I got rite off get go was honesty..owner was very educated to the point and work was done fairly quick..friendly and just felt comfortable knew I wasnâ  t getting the run around..not to mention prices were fair and overall I was very satisfied would definitely recommend this company going forward
