Ellen and her team were great...really great! Scientifically minded, objective, professional, and fair! Imagine that!? The back story: We had been given a quote for remediation work from a different company that just looked at the mold and recommended an extreme amount of work that seemed excessive ( well, I had hoped it was excessive). I had it quoted before I had the mold tested or even did an research to understand the situation because it was based on a recommendation from my realtor. That was a mistake. It is never good to jump into this stuff. The testing: Anyway, after getting scared, i had the mold tested and the situation was not nearly as dire as I had been led to believe. I had found a good testing company on Angie's list. The remediation, by ACE Environmental. Now for the remediation: I contacted ACE and talked to Ellen. Without providing the back story, I described the mold location details, and she also explained to me that it was most likely not a toxic mold and that the remediation probably wouldn't be too bad. I liked her right away because she mentioned a few things about having it tested to help me avoid being taken for a ride. After I got the report from the mold inspection company, I sent it over to Ellen and she came down to see my house. She really knows her mold! I am an engineer so I nerded out on this stuff big time and did a bunch of research. Ellen's recommendations all made sense and could be corroborated. She answered my many questions. We discussed mold and why it occurs, as well as how to get the root cause....avoiding the condensation. She explained how the coatings they would apply should prevent re-occurence, but eliminating the condensation is the best bet, and she had good advice on that. When the day came to do the cleanup, her and her team came in and got it done. They did a nice job, they were clean and professional. They even did some more than expected. They got rid of some debris that was outside of the original scope. so they promised something and then over-delivered. That usually doesn't happen these days! On top of all this, Ellen is super nice. It is such a pleasure to work with scientifically minded, objective, fair people. Thanks to the ACE team!!

Ellen came quickly and did a very thorough job. I asked several companies (including a well-known water cleanup and restoration franchise) to give me a quote and she was the only one who actually figured out a non-obvious source of the mold and the full extent of it. She was not afraid to get her hands dirty and didn't rush anything. Would highly recommend this company.
