Painting or Staining - Small Projects
I took 3 Bids for this job. I picked Ace, NOT knowing it was not a firm bid. They increased the hours required and charged me $141 for the material. Their bid ended up costing $150 more than the 2nd place bidder. First time in 40 years of taking bids that the painter showed up with NO painting equipment. They charged me 50% over the cost for paint, a brush, roller, pan, and a paint cup. I was NOT made aware of this until the day of the job. If you choose them ensure they disclose to you, upfront, how they can change the hours and the material cost AFTER you hire them.
