They try to upsell you on things you do not really need so you just have to be careful about that.

For 7 hundred Aces garage door repair and installation put in the wrong springs, wrong door bearing, and wrong residential drums. I have pictures if anybody need them.

I got coerced to pay an excessive amount of money for a replacement garage door opener. It seems like much more than the market value of the unit.

I think this business is not very honest on telling the customer what was the issue, the repairman was just telling me if you don't do this and that, something else would happen in the near future, I know that it was my mistake to listen to him since he replaced one part of the garage door opener and instead of giving back the old part to the owner, he kept it in his truck, and when I asked, it took him a long time before he could find it in the mount of old parts in his truck and he suggested to replace another part, again he took the old part away, I am not sure if he replaced the new part to my garage door opener like he said or he just replaced it with a refurbished one and charged customer with the price of an old one. Later on, one of my neighbor told me that look like he used an old part to replace it when looking into the garage door opener, even though the opener works for now, but don't know how long will it last???

Our garage door had to be special ordered and that took more than 3 weeks to received then another day to install. Other than the long wait, the subcontractor that did the work showed up almost 1.5 hour late for the installation appointment, took about 3 hours to install the new door and the quality of work was okay.

The person that comes to do estimate, said might be able to do next day and it ended up taking 2 days. I felt the price was high, they were 24 hour service tho which was nice to get an estimate the same day.

The overall experience was mostly satisfactory. The door seems of acceptable quality -- except that its mail slot door does not close completely (due to protruding rivets). Arthur, who came to the house to measure and give a quote was knowledgeable, helpful, and cooperative. The installer did well, except for a not-completely-thorough clean-up (a nail left in my driveway could have punctured a tire if I'd not discovered and removed it.) There was a minor problem with setting a time for the installation. When I paid my deposit I was happily surprised to be told that the installation could be completed probably within less than a week, and that I'd receive a call to set a time. A week passed with no call. So I had to call and request an installation appointment.

I have 3 doors. The electric source to my home was out of service due to a broken power line. I had to use the emergency red pull down cord to open and close the center door. The emergency lights on all 3 doors went out, I could not get them to function. I contacted "HOME ADVISOR" and within a minute I had a phone call from a lady saying she was from "ACE'S GARAGE DOOR" and wanted to set up an appointment ....no charge. We had to change days and hours several time. The repair man {RM} came with a young male with him who said he was learning the business. The repair man [RM} looked at the three doors and quoted a figure of $748.00 for each power unit. I had a quote from the original door installers that was less than half the price of the RM. and gave a $73.00 discount. RM said his firm gave a 10% discount. After a lengthy conversation RM said he would replace the "CIRCUT BOARDS, INSTALL ATION I and THREE REMOTES FOR $189.00 each. What really happened: 3 boards installed, all 3 door operated with the one new remote programed Then he said he would get my old remotes to work. Got one to work for a day and has not worked since. He claimed my second remote needed a new battery and it would work. RM .gave me a second new remote that only opened 2 doors and when asked about the 10% discount he said: the 2 door opener took the place of the 10% discount plus he charged me $59.00 for a remote. All confusing. RM not a man of his word and if he represents ACE's it is a sad day for them, This RM is not one I want to do business again for any type of repair and would NEVER recommend the firm!
