Gazebo or Freestanding Porch Build or Installation
$65,000
Terrible work and experience that I?m still paying $ by hiring Charlie. He quoted through my insurance at $68k for a 50 square foot area. From day one there were many lies and excuses regarding all jobs. At one point a young man that clearly had a drug addiction with no teeth was given the key to my house to do painting while he was there alone without a supervisor. Seven tiles have cracked in the bathroom floor, the plumbing on the dishwasher was not done to code or lines sealed properly which has resulted in a leak that caused black mold to grow and all of thr work to be redone. The photo below is the flooring behind the stove which you can see he did not put in a subfloor at quoted or even seal it so the crawl space is open to the kitchen. They removed the stove hood to replace with cabinets and didn?t patch the hole in the ceiling and put the cabinets back up. He will have a wordy response because that?s the kind of slimy person he is but BEWARE! All the good reviews are his fam/f

If you want honest work and accountability, steer very clear of Charley and Adler Construction. Charley did a $50k remodel at my house that will end up costing at least another $50k to correct. Upon nearing the end of the job, Florence came and instead of ever completing the job and punch list, he tried to scam me into making a fraudulent insurance claim so that he could secure another $100k worth of work. The plumbing in my bathroom has never worked and is not done to code in the slightest (we now know the plumbing is leaking because of poor installation). Every square foot of flooring be installed has bubbled and buckled. Charley tried to blame this on the hurricane but I have photos that prove otherwise. The cuts around the molding and the paint job looks like a 6 year old did it. His worker, Jon, told us he learned his skill work via YouTube. Halfway thru the project I was told Charley accidentally misquoted me by thousands of dollars. There was a cycle of 20-something year olds workers. Tile work that looks like moles live underneath it. Master shower does not drain, as a result of below average tile work (causing water to pool in the shower and grow moldy, etc). A fire alarm was left underneath recklessly blown piles of insulation in my attic and beeped for 6 months before it was located. Today, 2.5 years later, all toilets quit working and fecal matter was flowing out of my master shower drain (that Charley constructed and plumbed himself). Later, I was ignored for months. Upon finally reaching him, I begged him to come to the house and do an walk thru to address some issues, I even agreed to spend more money if absolutely necessary. Shortly after, he ghosted us. Since, all other professionals have confirmed that the work done to my house was absolutely incorrect, ignorant and not to code. Therefore, risking my health and safety. I have time stamped photos, receipts and screenshots of the dismal work done proving that Charley Holtzclaw is a fraud.

"Thank you for your Detailed Feedback and we would like to provide a detailed response to these MAJOR Concerns. A few points that we do agree with, During your project our labor force was not top of the line, But we have completely restructured our organization in the last 3 years since your project and have strived daily to always better our performance. We Thank you for your business and for giving us the chance to grow with you. Now, for some points that we disagree on and also have thoroughly documented. - We Did not do our final punch list Because Florence Flooded your home. which Means that the work we had just completed needed to be Removed, Mitigated, and Repaired. The timing was horrible but our final billing reflected it and our contract was not fulfilled. Adding to the comment of unresponsive behavior, Adler Spent 4 Weeks and multiple visits documenting damage, meeting your adjuster, and building a claim with documented flood/water damage to your home. after that, we had no response and we have emails from you, Stating that your Financial Manager had Quit, and you did not have a contract with Momentum, and no one could help you. this lead to a window of no contact for over a year. - After that period you came back to wanting us to finish the punch list while also displaying pictures of Mold Coming from the baseboards, closets, that covered all your shoes, clothes, etc. We guided you to an industrial hygienist to now give us a New scope of work From a 3rd Party to get the home even further as the flood damages WERE NEVER addressed. That guidance was not followed and we could not in good faith go " Finish " and had to sever our relationship. We wish you the best in your future and hope that someone Educates you on the hazards of not addressing Flood Damages & what LONGTERM effects water has on structural components of your home."

Adler completed our master suite addition and full home remodel. We finally have the space we need in the house we love. The team was extremely knowledgable and patient while we worked together to pick out materials and designs for our baths, kitchen, flooring, and paint. Everything came out better than expected!

Terrible experience, poor quality repairs, the owner lies blatantly through his teeth, subcontracts the work and refuses to back the work done by contractors. He failed to replace rotted sheathing although clearly listed on the estimate, rotted sheathing was covered with metal flashing instead of replaced, drip edge was damaged, the job was not done as originally agreed. The owner did nothing but lie and make excuses returned several times and still did not repair the damage his sub contractors did, or fix the shoddy work. Just another terrible contractor taking advantage of storm damage victims. Then he went above and beyond to lie to HomeAdvisor stating he never did work for me.

"Thank you for your feedback as we value transparency and growth. Despite our several attempts to meet with you to remedy and accommodate your additional requests that were outside our scope of work (per your insurance policy's Final Draft Report), it is important to note that we do not agree with sequence of events that you described in your message. We completed everything in our power to go above and beyond the call of duty and unfortunately your requests were outside our contractual scope of work. We are happy to discuss the issue further and feel free to reach out to us at your convenience."

Charley is very responsive and puts his heart into the job. He's quick to fix anything questionable and is always just a phone call away. He comes when he says he's coming and does what he says. My bathroom turned out just as I wanted it to look. I would definitely hire him again!
