Welcome to Advance Surveying, Inc.! We are a new startup company providing Professional Land Surveying Services. The company was founded in July of 2003 and is striving to become a Surveying vendor, which will provide not only services for private homeowners, but also all forms of Surveying services ranging from residential and commercial to local government work. The President and owner Michael K. Yates has been involved in the Surveying Profession for over 15 years. Experience ranges from his Military tour of duty in the Army where he served as a Sergeant in charge of the Company Surveying Crew, to his College experience gained at Ferris State University where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Surveying Engineering. Lastly, the various Surveying and Engineering companies worked for until opening ASI. While working for various companies after graduation Mr. Yates held positions in both the office and field gaining needed experience to handle all aspects required in the surveying process. This diversity ranged from doing lot surveys for residential property to subdivision design and construction staking. Working on minor roadway projects to larger scale projects like the I-96 / I-696 Interstate Highway doing alignment and topographical surveying work. Surveys for General Motors Corporation and Hospital work in various locations throughout the State. These are just a few of the types of projects Mr. Yates has worked on.
