Advanced Home Repair

I would not advise anyone to hire Advanced Home Repair. I Hired Mr Root to remodel Bathrooms and Kitchen. He lied about everything he did. He put new flooring in the bathroom over the existing flooring rather than remove the old flooring and it was installed wrong. He told me he could not get a replacement countertop for the vanity without having to tear out the wall, which was not true. Requiring me to purchase a new vanity. He installed a comfort height round bowl toilet rather than the comfort height elongated bowl we had agreed on. He tore up the wall removing the existing baseboard, and rather than fix it and install the baseboard he had bought, he said he needed to replace it with a wider profile to cut down on the work. The walls were not prepared before painting, and there are gouges that were painted over along with globs of paint on the wall. The next item is the kitchen where he was going to paint the cabinets and replace the counter top. I asked if he would like me to wash the cabinets to get them ready for him to paint. He said no, you do not need to do that anymore or sand the surface because there is primer in the paint. Which, after reading the instructions on the can it plainly says to lightly wash and sand the surface, besides being the wrong paint to paint kitchen cabinets with. He was rude and intimidating every time I asked a question, he berated me for having a concern about something he was doing. I had given him several thousand dollars for supplies and after he started and I realized he really did not know what he was doing (or did not care) I told him I would like him to finish the 2 jobs he had started but wanted to cancel all other work. I asked for an accounting for the money he has spent on supplies to that point and I would give him a fair wage for the days worked but I wanted a refund of the rest of the money I had given him and he just flat out said No. He said would not supply me with receipts (because he was allowed up-charge for supplies) and he would not refund any of the money I had given him. One thing that he said when I gave him the cash the he asked for was to keep it away from the tax man.. wink.. wink... I think he is trying to keep his income off the record.

Ruined our washing machine, Our washer was working but vibrated too much on spin before they came. Now it doesnâ  t work at all and they will not respond to Angi or us. Iâ  ve been going to the laundromat for over 2 months. So far Angi has not helped us with the problem. With each trip to laundromat damages continue to rise and I REALLY donâ  t want to buy a new washerâ ¦.

Paid for service and parts, work is not done, and they will not respond to calls or texts.

Horrible no communication been 3 weeks since I heard from the repairman who said it would be done within the week wonâ t do this again

He took the money he never responded. He took the check and never heard from him again.

He took my money and he did no back and he is not unable to contact.

I hope to resolve this.

They diagnosed a new washing machine motor was needed. I paid for the service call and the motor which had to be ordered. This was on 11/29. Said it would be a week. Today is 2 weeks and I have heard Nothing even by attempting to contact them by phone and email. I understand the motor may not be available when they thought but keeping me informed would be prudent.

Responded on a Sunday within an hour of my request.

Good company to hire

Not reliable, took the down payment of $400 for parts a month ago, and had not reached out to me I had called multiple times and had not responded, and I would like for him to get in contact with me as soon as possible. If I am not been able to respond please leave a voicemail
