I had a problem with an overhead door to my shop. It kept going up on it's own after it touched the bottom. Sometimes it would stay down and then go up by itself in the middle of the night. I called 4 or 5 companies. I got "we don't do commercial doors". I got "I don't work at the company I just relay calls". Two companies never called back. Another company got lost finding my place (how is that possible with GPS on your phone?) showed up late, sort of fixed the problem but the door started going up by itself again and then gave me the the runaround about coming back out to fix what should have been fixed the first time. Their excuses reminded me of "the dog ate my homework". Advanced Overhead Door called me back within a few hours, showed up the same day, figured out what the problem was, fixed it on the spot and charged a more than reasonable fee for the work. So I talked with the guy who showed up, Danny the owner and service man. It's a family owned and operated business. They service many of the major contractors in my area and around the LI. 30 years in the business. Danny polite and a real professional. He knew what he was doing. I didn't need any new parts or extras. Thank you Advanced Overhead Doors! If I ever have another problem I'm calling this company first. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Our 16' wide x 8' high wood garage door collapsed from its ceiling support on Sunday afternoon. (My fault, as I hung an extension ladder from the ceiling support brackets for convenience in storing it). Dan the owner, responded to my call within the hour on sunday and sent a two man crew the next day.The crew sent a video to Dan and he determined the weight of the door (600 lb), in addition to the precarious manner it which it was hanging, would require a four man crew to safely address the problem. Because of the imminent danger and pending snowstorm, Dan scheduled a four man crew including himself the very next day. The manner in which Dan directed his very experienced crew to systematically address and implement his on site custom engineering methods was very impressive to observe. Once the danger was eliminated within the first hour, Dan sent one of his 2- man crew to service other clients that were already on their schedule. Dan and an assistant personally completed the remaining work. The number one priority was crew safety, all of whom are very well versed in OSHA regulations. Everyone followed his instructions methodically. Not only were they able to re- support the door to safely start working on it, They rehung the door, re-hung and re-supported the tracks and wall brackets, installed new wheel guides, adjusted tension on support springs, installed steel door support for opener attachment on door, and reconnected trim at windows.The garage door now operates better and much quieter than it has in years. By the way, The garage Door installation was Performed by Advanced Overhead Door 18 years ago and we have not had one bit of trouble with its operation in all that time This is Old Fashioned Service at it's finest. Professional, Experienced, and Polite. The full spectrum of Sales, Service and Installation. I highly recommend all aspects of work they perform, you will not find anyone better!
