Great and professinol

Advanced Solar does decent work and is a good group of guys to work with. What they lack is attention to detail for cleanup, scheduling and communication.

I noticed a leak in my kitchen on Sunday: (1) on Monday the roofer informed me that the leak was under one of my solar panels, (2) I was informed by the panel installer that they were backed up for about six months and could not service me; however they did inform me that I could notify other certified companies in my area, and recommended one of their partnering companies in South Carolina, (3) I contacted the company and was very disappointed to discover it could not remove one panel and would have to charge me an astronomical price for the job, (4) in the meantime, the installer notified me that it could work me in but I would have to sign a contract which stated in their standard language that the job would be completed within 3 to 6 months, even though verbally the Representative said they could work me in their schedule sometimes the next week, (5) very reluctantly I refused to sign the contract because of this language and the uncertainty of the panel being removed ASAP so that my roof could be repaired; (6) on Wednesday, I decided to Google solar panel companies in my zip code area through Home Advisors, (7) I contacted Advanced Solar (Scott Johnson) who came out and removed the panel that same Wednesday evening (A) without me having to leave work as part of taking the job and (B) speaking with the roofing contractor for appropriate information needed, (8) work was completed on my roof and kitchen ceiling by that Friday, and (9) the panel was reinstalled on Saturday. I was afraid not to sign the contract because of uncertainty about how long it would take me to get someone to remove the panel; however, I am so glad that, because of the exceptional commitment in such a timely manner of Advanced Solar, I am a very happy consumer and will continue to do business with it, should the need arise again! I certainly hope not; however, you never know (smile).

They do not share no concern about the customers.

Sent a 2-man team of electricians and did both the inside and outside electrical work quickly and safely - it's very difficult to get competent / experienced solar repair specialist that understand both roofing, solar and electric in general.

Overall, the Solar system and its equipment installation were done very well. The installation is neat and clean. Scott and his team are knowledgeable, worked very hard and responsive to get the system installed and running. This system has been working great! I definitely would not hesitate to engage them again for any larger project.

Not stressful

The crew was knowledgable and friendly. They demonstrated where I needed a technology upgrade on some of my cables. They came early in the morning to restore my solar system to the grid. Worked directly with Scott Johnson in signing contracting and scheduling the crew.
