How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because of personal and professional reasons. After 25 years in Corporate America, I wanted to make a huge change and run my own business. As a Nashville native, it was also important that I get back to my hometown after many years away. Selecting AdvantaClean was an easy decision because of it's ability to provide services that truly impact people's everyday lives. The impacts of mold and water can be devastating to both your health and the structural integrity of your home or business. I'm proud that AdvantaClean is here to help customers overcome these types of environmental challenges..

Free services to seniors in need. We've worked with Home Instead Senior Care to identify seniors in need of air duct cleaning.

We contribute to the St Jude Foundation through donations and participating in area walks.

We contribute to Christmas for the children where $150/child is given to children to buy gifts at WalMart

Mitigate Radon Gas

Advanta Clean of West Nashville did a superb job of remediating the radon problem in my condo. Communication with the owner and installer was excellent. They provided timely information and diagrams in response to our HOA's questions. Installer, Dustin, showed up on time for every appt from estimate, repairing cracks in foundation, installing & painting remediation/vent system, to post-remediation radon testing. He is a top-notch professional and perfectionist. I interviewed and got estimates from two additional radon remediators, whose level of knowledge of radon/remediation and EPA standards, communication, competence, and professionalism did not compare to Dustin's. However, Advanta Clean of West Nashville's estimate/cost was comparable to those of the other radon remediation companies. I couldn't be more pleased or recommend Advanta Clean of West Nashville for radon remediation more highly. They are good people you can trust.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
