Advantage Appliance Repair

This was the appliance repair linked to Maytag for a top-loaded washer repair while under limited warranty. The first time they came out the panel was malfunctioning so they reset it. The second time they came out the panel was malfunctioning so they replaced it. The fourth time they came out the unit was just leaking water while not powered on or running, and this only occurred after they replaced the control panel. The technician spent 10 minutes at my house before concluding it was "the sink overflowing" despite all of the evidence I provided indicating it very much was not the sink. They charged me a service fee and left. Now I am left with water continuously pooling in my basement from a washer that didn't do this until Advantage Appliance Repair touched the unit. They did more harm than good. Stay far away from this business.

My only negative comment is this--they gave me a five hour window, which was a little ridiculous. However, on the morning of the appointment I called the office and they were able to narrow it down a bit for me. But I would hire them again, the price was reasonable and the tech seemed very knowledgeable.

Besides laughing at myself for paying $95.00 to find out my washer was most likely beyond repair, I thought the company rep was professional and knowledgeable. I did not get the info I hoped for, however, I did feel less intimidated about buying a new washer. Also, the other reviews provide additional good information.

I am very pleased with the service I received from Advantage Appliance! The technicians are friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled, and the customer service is excellent. Reuben worked so hard to get my stubborn old dryer working again, and was so pleasant, even after tackling a difficult job at the end of a long day. As a result, it's running as good as new! I'd definitely call them again, and recommend them to anyone! :)

They were supposed to call a half hour before coming. They did not. The fellow they sent was a nice enough guy but was inexperienced with refrigeration repairs and after trying to check with several other servicemen he couldn't fix or identify the problem. He charged me $95.00 and left without fixing a thing. His only suggestion was that I unplug the refrigerator and maybe it would correct itself. I paid $95.00 to not repair my refrigerator. But I'll have to admit he was a nice enough fellow.

Unfortunately she could not obtain the part needed for the repair of my range, but she was very nice and helpful in diagnosing the issue. Apparently parts for appliances over 10 years old are hard to come by.

Very responsive to questions, and on time. Did an excellent job.
