Th.is was a weekend job, Jasom was very busy but stayed until he could do no more, He said he would be bac to finish job. Even though, he came later than expected , He did an excellent job. Our next job is to do a whole new sewer like which will ease our minds. They will go the extact mile for us.

My experience with Afford-a-Rooter: I booked the job and the owner informed me that he would pull the permit for the job the following day and the work would be completed on Monday. I signed the bid and sent it in to the office, and they sent me a note stating that the repair would be performed in the first part of the day and the inspection would occur during the afternoon or following day. On Monday, Aug. 26th, the work began at 9am. They closed up the trench and had everything cleaned up by late afternoon with no word from the company. On Aug. 29th I emailed the office asking for the status of our job, whether we passed inspection, and how to proceed with payment. She sent me an invoice which appeared different from the estimate I signed. The invoice did not show anything about the permit and inspection, but the rest was identical to the estimate. After asking a few times about the permit and inspection, she finally said she would check into it. I did not hear back from Afford-a-Rooter, so after 12 days I emailed them again asking about the permit and inspection. The owner, emailed me the following day, Sept. 11, stating that the permit was pulled and to please pay the outstanding balance. On Monday, September 16th, I received a text from my tenant that Afford-a-Rooter was there excavating the yard again. We were all extremely confused, but this time the crew was able to inform us that they were digging up the yard again for the inspection. Afford-a-Rooter never informed me or anyone else that they would be back digging a trench through the entire yard a second time 18 days after the work was supposedly completed. At this point I contacted HomeAdvisor since they are the company that referred Afford-a-Rooter to me. They agreed that this was very odd and connected me with the owner over the phone. Trevor was extremely rude to me when we spoke and didn t seem to think that there was any problem with them just showing up nearly 3 weeks later to dig up the yard again with no notice. After speaking with him, I decided to call the city and find out about the permit for myself. I learned that the permit was not even pulled prior to the job. The permit was actually pulled on August 30th, the day after I contacted Afford-a-Rooter asking to confirm that we passed inspection. It is clear that if I had not been insistent about this inspection, we would be in violation of the law for not having a properly permitted water mainline repair. As of today, September 21, I still have not received confirmation from Afford-a-Rooter that we have passed the inspection. I have spoken with the City of Golden permit office and was told that the inspection was passed so the job is complete.

Afford-A-Rooter This company engages in unethical business practices. I am not the type to leave reviews like this, but this is my only recourse for business practices like they engage in. This company threatened to put a lien on my home due to a contractor they had business with wouldn't pay them. I paid the contractor, but since the contractor refused to pay them they decided to threaten me. They were fully aware that I paid their business partner, but thought threatening me would then apply pressure on the contractor. I had proof of payment and instead of going directly after their contractor, they decided to threaten me. I know that they would not have legal standing, but the unethical business practice has got to stop. Please be aware of any involvement with this company. Keep all receipts and contact notes if you choose to do business. The company came after me months after the work was completed and paid for.

"We would like to set the record straight with some facts. Please be aware that "Metro Sewer Service" is NOT our business partner. He used us as a subcontractor for work that we performed at HIS client's home. There are plumbing companies in Colorado that either do not have their own excavation crews, or sub out some of their overflow work to other plumbing companies - This is very common practice in our industry. When we are subcontracted to perform work for another entity, and we do not get paid from them - unfortunately, our only legal remedy is to place a lien on the property. We go to great lengths to collect our money before we seek that legal action. In this instance, the client was able to get Metro Sewer Service to pay this invoice. Our company was in contact with this client after he received the intent to lien letter. After the invoice had been paid - We sent them a paid receipt along with a letter that we were no longer seeking legal action. We also called the client and thanked him for convincing Metro Sewer Service to pay their invoice for this particular property. We do not like to send out intent to lien notices, yet that is our legal right!!"

When I first contacted them by telephone, a lady named Dee answered the phone. From the beginning to the end these folks are kind, patient, knowledgeable and very accommodating in planning my service needs. They arrived punctually and Diego was ever considerate of my personal property as to protect it from damage. Although I inadvertently ended up with a couple of SMALL spots on my beige carpet, Diego went right to work to clean them up!! I feel these folks from the top to the bottom are the kind of people most us want to deal with when we need assistance!!!! Their pricing was right in line with other companies in their field. They are just plain decent people that do great work.

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. If you do end up hiring them, here are some tips: - Get everything in writing - Do not expect them to honor their promises - Call the week before, the day before, and the day they're supposed to come to make sure they don't flake on you - Hire a separate company to inspect their work - Call your city to find out if the work needs a permit I'll spare you the 900-word essay. This is what they did to us: - Moved the appointment without telling us - Lied about the work they would do - Only did half the job (I only discovered this after another plumber looked at their work) - Didn't know they had to get a permit to do the work - Charged our credit card as a subscription (so it will charge every year)

Recently I was selling my home. The inspector found some sewer line issues that caused my buyers to balk. I was under extremely tight deadlines and my cash flow was tight, to say the least. If I wasn't able to meet the deadlines, my buyers were going to withdraw and, because my contract on my new home was contingent on the sale of my old place, I would lose my new place. Afford-a-Rooter came to my rescue. Sue, Kyle and the rest of the team went far above and beyond the call of duty. They really and truly saved my contract and my sanity. The crew even took it in stride when my roommate accidentally let my Great Danes outside and they got rushed by a goofy puppy who loves everyone with a pulse. Trust me, it is intimidating to see a 100lb puppy come running at you full speed, even when he is wagging his tail and hopping around like a fool. I don't have the words to express how much they helped me. I recommend Afford-A-Rooter to anyone with plumbing issues big and small. I wish I could give them 2000 stars.

My elderly Mother's basement drain backed up. The repairman that came didn't seem very experienced and wasn't able to clear the line completely. He said it was the best he could do. Before leaving he recommended that we camera the line because he said we may have to replace the entire line to the sewer! $$$ He did not warranty his work. The drain backed up a day later. We called another company (recommended by a plumber!). The other company's repairman cleared the line quickly, efficiently and warrantied his work. We've had no problems since.

They did a good job clearing our line and repairing some pipes. Both days they arrived later than we expected, but that would not stop us from hiring them again because the plumber, Rob, really knew what he was doing.

I highly recommend this company. We put off repairing or replacing our sewer line for probably 20 years until we got tired of dealing with it. We got several bids and all the prices were much higher than with Afford A Rooter making us leery, but we decided to go with them because of other reviews. We decided to replace the entire line out to the city main. Rago and his crew did ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT WORK in a very timely manner. There was minimal damage to our yard and none at all to two sidewalks that they tunneled under. I will definitely call upon Afford A Rooter if we ever need any other plumbing services.
