About us

Hey y’all! I’m back in town! I’ve spent the last ten years down south in Jacksonville, NC. I originally started my trade in the United States Marine Corps. During my seven years as a US Marine I was assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 26 aboard MCAS New River in Jacksonville, NC. My responsibilities were the upkeep and maintenance of the mobile facilities where the Avionics Technician Marines worked. After finishing my service, I focused my attention on continuing to perform services in my area of expertise, which included keeping folks comfortable. I can assure you that I know first-hand about wanting to be comfortable from living South. There is no heat like Southern heat. In September of 2018, amid the chaos and turmoil of Hurricane Florence my family and I were forced to relocate back to Kentwood, Michigan. This company is great. Honest. Reliable. Reasonably priced. I trust them completely with my a/c and heating needs. I am so excited to have found such a company. he performed maintenance on my a/c system i had moved in 2 years ago. thank goodness i had work performed . he spent over 3 hours cleaning it. system was filthy. he took before and after photos. no wonder i was sneezing and my nose running continuously!!! i will only use southern comfort period

Javon's staff replaced a recall part in my furnace. Not long afterwards I came home to a cold house. I checked everything I could think of and couldn't figure out why my furnace was only blowing cold air, so I called his staff. They answered the phone at 7:30 at night and Javon came to my house himself that after his last job to problem-solve, around 8:30 PM. It turned out my filter was dirty and the sensors had just off the heat to save my unit. He could not have been kinder or more gracious about the after-hours service call, that he would have been saved, if I'd thought to check my filter. I will definitely call for future service needs. But I'll check my filter first.

I couldn't be more happier with the service we received. I've worked with many contractors over the years but have never had one more responsive and timely than Javon. He came out the same day and submitted a quote. He spent a lot time explaining our different options, what our current furnace can/can't do, what the newer models would offer. I never felt rushed or pressured into a specific make or model. Javon was extremely knowledgeable and and was flexible with us on install dates and costs. Javon was quick to reply on calls, texts and emails. I've been turned off by contractors in the past due to lack of communication and lax follow up...but not here. I would routinely get return calls/texts back within 5/10 min. He even assisted in the rebate forms! Always showed up when he said he would. I've been recommending Southern Comfort to as many people as I can, if I could give more than 5 stars I would.

A very professional gentleman. His ability to explain everything as the project was progressing was wonderful. I will be using him again in the future as myself and my wife trust him in every aspect of the project. Cost effective and timely service are only two of the things that make this company stand out above the others that I discussed this with.
