The project manager took deposits , did not respond to calls, and scheduled his crews on other projects when they expected to return to complete work started. This was a very stressful experience that was not completed as originally scheduled. The first crew set the deck too short and too low. The fence crew was the most professional and completed the job in two days. The fence crew also had to finish the incomplete details on the installed porch doors and straighten the original porch screen that had been removed to repair the deck..

Update: I was refunded a portion of the funds. Where do I begin? I should have known not to go with this company when they did not show for the initial appointment, nor did they give me the respect to call me after it was missed. After finally getting a hold of them, I was given a list of excuses, but decided to make another appointment anyway. Once I received the estimate, I sent the full amount via Western Union, it took longer than expected, but the money was received. We are now 3 weeks in to the full amount being paid and STILL no work has been done. I was even told that they forgot to measure the wood, really? How do you give an accurate estimate without even measuring the amount of materials needed? I feel taken advantage of due to the fact that I am out of state, and cannot be there in person to knock on their door. I do not even receive responses to emails sent directly to the so called company. To say I am disappointed in an understatement. I would give negative stars if I could. Be warned, look around for someone else.

I paid this company $2700 last August to build a roof over my patio. I have used them twice before, so did not expect problems. Since then, they have given me one excuse after another, and have still not started. They will not answer the phone or call me back. Do not use this company.

Affordable Remodeling and Repairs did a good job on fixing my fence and garage. They did a satisfactory job on the vinyl siding. The color of the siding did not quite match and the material was different. The big problem for me with this service provider was the lack of communication and customer service. At the time of the estimate, Craig requested that I pay by check for half down. I felt a little bit uneasy, because you have a little bit of protection when paying with a credit card, but you have none with a check. Craig told me that he would arrive to do the job on that Friday. I called on Thursday, after I noticed he cashed my check and requested that he break down the bill so that I might use it on my insurance. I left a message and never heard back from him that day. On Friday he never showed up and he never called to let me know. I actually had to find him at his place of business, which is his home address and I was lucky that he happened to be there! He told me not to worry that he would be there the next day at 10 am. At 11 am the next day, I called him and he said he wasn't going to be there until Sunday. I was thankful that everything got fixed and we didn't have a problem with his work, but this whole experience left me uneasy. I wasn't sure if he was going to take my money and run! There is something to be said for good communication and good customer service, this is the reason that I would not use this person in the future.

Terrible service. Replaced porch that was knocked down by a tree. Took four months to do a job that should have taken one week. Left a mess in the yard, kept putting us off when contact was made. Repaired a brown roof with black shingles. left shingle nails exposed. Built roof of porch too close to eves, nowhere for water to run off. Would not recommend this company.

The price was fair for repair of my fence damaged from hurricane Mathew. They did quality work restoring our custom designed fence.

Fair price, excellent customer service and outstanding results. Took two days to complete from quote to completion of project. Very pleased with the entire experience. Highly recommended!

They were helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The price was very reasonable and the work was great. I had to replace my back fence due to Hurricane Matthew but the ownership was in question. My back door neighbor and I agreed to split the cost and Craig of Affordable Remodeling was willing to accept payment from 2 sources and he took care of collecting the payment from my neighbor. Affordable Remodeling does great work for reasonable cost and they care about customer service.

I paid them 900$ upfront they never showed and didn't return my calls for almost a week! They tell others they have plenty of cruise and they are not behind, yet after cashing my check they never came back. Now they are trying to keep my deposit and my attorney will be contacting them!

We had our gate blow off,due to hurricane Matthew,Scheduled appt and Craig came out same day to do estimate,my gate was repaired within 48 hrs after estimate,it was affordable and professional service,will hire for any future remodeling,job well done!!!

we lost a large portion of our fence due to hurricane matthew. when I called they had craig out to give estimate.they removed old downed fence and contructed a brand new fence. they were professional and did an awesome job! would definitely use them again!
