Deck or Porch - Repair
We have used Affordable Solutions LLC on several occasions. Their prices are reasonable and their work is excellent. We plan on using them in the future for our repair and project needs The first time we hired Affordable Solutions was to repair our front door. It was severely weathered and they made it look new after a couple days work without removing it. They charged us 1/3rd of the other companies that gave us quotes. We also have had them repair other doors, fix rotted stairs, replace broken deck boards, replace handrails, stain and paint, as well as multiple repairs. Each time their workers came when they said they would, did the work efficiently and did a great job. One very important point: we have had several storm-related repairs lately. Our insurance provided contractor ghosted us, several others did not return our call, many thought our needs were not substantial/lucrative enough. Andy Gibb and his team have come through for us with reasonable prices, good communication and great results!

Had extensive repair work done. Outstanding work and while not inexpensive well worth the cost. Would absolutely recommend and will use again for future projects. Went the extra mile when cleaning up and left area better than when they started.

Brenda and Andy are both pleasant, lovely people. The customer service is great and the quality of work is too. Brenda is *very* good with communication, its a big plus with me. They're also kind enough to not laugh at my botched attempts at home maintenance. I keep their contact info close for my next attempt.

Andy, Brenda, and Zach are a pleasure to do business with. Andy starts with coming to your house to gather information for your quote. One of my favorite parts of the process is that Brenda controls Andy's and Zach's schedule. One of my biggest frustrations with contractors is not being on location when they say they will...or just being sporadic in showing up. THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH THESE FOLKS! The craftsmanship is great. Andy will help guide and clarify exactly what you want with your project. Andy pulls no punches in his verbal delivery. You get an honest and upfront description of what he will and won't do. A great personality attribute too few in our society possess. He offers suggestions for making your project better. After using other contractors in the area, I find myself fortunate to have them doing work around my home. The Campbells

We have had several projects done by Home Solutions. Andy is very professional, on time and knowledgeable. We have had ceiling, deck and gutter repaired among other projects. All were completed timely and professionally. We would recommend this business highly. Install a kitchen faucet for me.

Could not get return call after paying initial payment. No work was completed despite contract. Company came out finally and did a great job and apologized profusely. They were nice and did and very good job. The only issue was communication.

Andy was responsive and professional. He arrived when expected and was very pleasant. We had Affordable Solutions do two jobs both of smaller size (replace some outside decking and make a custom dog door in side a screen porch). We were especially pleased with the quality of the decking Andy installed. He accommodated our schedule and worked hard at his job. I appreciated that he was willing to take on the smaller jobs which many people are not willing to do.

Andy was very pleasant and professional to deal with. He handled a very small project with ease and was able to build up the door so the Larson Storm door would fit properly. The end result was a nice looking Storm Door that is the envy of my neighbors. I would definitely hire Andy again to work some additional future projects planned and recommend his work to others.

Professional and personable owners who communicated every step of the way throughout the project. They scheduled the work with my renters, which was an added level of complexity since I live in Florida and my rental house is in Maryland. Kudos to Affordable Solutions! My job was small, but I didn't feel like I was being ignored as I've felt in the past by several other services. Calls were returned, emails were replied to quickly. They were very friendly and polite. Communication was EXCELLENT. I didn't feel like I was left hanging or didn't know what was going on at any time. That is something that is very important to me. I will definitely be calling on Affordable Solutions in the future.

He gave me a fair 'affordable' estimate for the job (install new storm door), showed up when he said he would, installed the door and didn't stop until the door was 100% per his inspection and mine. When the work was done he cleaned up after himself and was gone. No manipulations, no deception, no sudden 'unexpected costs' , no surprises. As a woman this is like manna from heaven and I'd have to say one of the few times someone has NOT asked for more money to fix something that was never broken all because I'm female.He said what he would do and he did what he said would. That works for me. I plan on hiring him again.

I was on a tight timeframe due to moving soon. He gave me a quote and got the job done within a week. The door frame looks better than before the damage occurred. He cleaned the work area when done and even fixed a piece of linoleum that was curled up just because it was bugging him.

He quotes work not ordered. Extremely expensive. Doesn't perform all of the services quoted or discount his price for non-performance. Would not recommend him or use of Handyman.com.

"As a business that prides itself on our customer referrals, it was sad to see a review such as this. We have reached out to the customer twice to review our services and have yet to get a response, so we wanted to followup with a reply. All of our estimates are free and it is not unusual for a customer to ask us to price other work than what they originally posted for while we are present. Ultimately the customer chooses what work they want done and is presented a contract. At anytime, if the customer voices a concern, it is addressed and rectified and/or credited. We cannot comment on something never brought to our attention at anytime."
