Schedule specific time to come. Never showed up and did not apologize

Work was done 9/2022 now itâ  s 11/08/2023 and the permit has not been closed yet. There needs to be a job completed to pass inspection. Iâ  ve been calling for Rick, the manager of electrical department. He has not called me back at all. I speak to the representative and tell them why I call, they apologize and say they will give him the message. I have two pages of dates and person I talked with. Iâ  m getting in touch with the attorney general to see what else I can do. I have been a customer for years. The techs that come out are very nice, professional and on time. Rick is the only problem.

We paid $19,500 for one replacement Carrier A/C in April 2022. On June 23, the unit stopped working. They came out after waiting 3 days and said a part had to be ordered. We still do not have the part, the unit is still not working, and we cannot get anyone to respond. I called and asked to speak to the owner, but no one would allow me to speak to them. The unit is under warranty. The service is awful.

Very bad experience. Every time something wrong happens and they charge you. I don't mind if it happens after a while but if it only happens when they come for maintenance and on the following days it stops working, then, it is a bit suspicious. Also, if a new unit (2-year-old pieces) starts to malfunction when they come for maintenance, it is also suspicious. Now, I have learned and never again! Sorry to write this review but this is America and we are free to tell other people about our experience. Two days after I already paid, my tenants said the AC is not working again.

I purchased a new Carrier A/C system from Air America in Aug. 2018. I also purchased a 5 yr. extended warranty and the yearly service contract. As expected for a not even 2 yr. old unit, the service calls revealed no unusual issues. This week, I started hearing a slightly unusual noise coming from the compressor. I called Air America as a precaution. The Tech. came the next day and determined that the compressor was running in "protect" mode likely due to short power interruptions. He suggested installing a Delay On Break Timer. Probably a good idea as we do have power interruptions form time to time. I agreed to have it installed as my warranty covers labor for calls like this but not parts. He installed it and the charge for the part alone was $216. I paid the bill and later decided to look up the retail price a Delay On Break Timer 24VAC 5 min. Fixed. You can get them at most places for under $10. The next day, I called them assuming there might have been a mistake in the billing. I talked to a Supervisor who told me that $216 was their price for that part (remember no Labor charge included). I politely expressed my opinion of how I thought that price to be a severe over charge and asked for an adjustment of the bill. He would not. I then asked for some kind of future credit. He again gave none. On this review site I am reading may negative reviews of this company. I see one reply to a negative review where they explain about their costs for training, insurance, travel, etc. . All companies have those same expenses but treat customers better. If you're looking to hire an A/C company, I suggest you look elsewhere.

They had quick response rate, same day service kept the customer on mind and gave lots of discounts. sales person and guys who worked on the project were friendly, and they cleaned after themselves. They completed the project in the estimated time

They were professional and friendly. Did the job promptly and at a good price. Everyone I spoke to was helpful and accommodating. Making the process seamless.

We bought our AC from them as well as 10 year warranty and renew yearly a quarterly maintenance. All Technitians are very Proffesional and polite! Today I am congratulating Gabriel. Has come various times for servicing our AC and knows very well our equipment!!! Likewise I would like to thank the Customer Service Lady that scheduled my maintanence appointment as per my needs. 😊👍👏👏👏

Eleven years ago we hired Air America to install a new central air conditioner and air handler for us. Since that time we have had a service contract with them to service our unit twice per year. Over the years their service has been OK but a couple of times they significantly ripped us off. Once for putting in new tie down straps, Once for the installation of a new condenser (which we ended up doing ourselves). Once for a new Reme Halo system, which failed. And once they sent a service tech by who did virtually nothing and we had to get them to send someone else. Recently we had service done and the service tech failed to inform us that our air handler cabinet was full of mold and that our Reme Halo was no longer working. He also told us that he had to put in 3 lbs of refrigerant and that was an indication that things were starting to deteriorate. We decided to replace the 11 year old unit and had 4 companies provide estimates including Air America. Air America's bid was $1,000 higher than the company we selected. When the new company began to dismantle the old air handler they found that it was full of very unhealthy mold and that the Reme Halo no longer was working. We are elderly and my wife has had recent lung surgery (part of one removed) so breathing clean air is critical to our health. Needless to say we were/are very upset that Air America failed to inform us about the mold and are very happy that we no longer have a relationship with them. We highly recommend that folks avoid this company. There are much better AC contractors out there.

Air America AC is the only AC company I'll work with in Florida. I went through two other companies before them that had zero follow-through, integrity, competence, or trust. It's amazing how difficult it can be to find good help, especially and AC company in South Florida. I use them for my AC maintenance and if any issues happen. With Air America, I've never been more satisfied and I've worked with them over a year now. I highly recommend them and the owner, Dominick, is more than a pleasure to work with and always answered my questions and provided great care and work. He couldn't be more helpful, thorough, and knowledgeable. You won't go wrong by using them. More than happy.

Very professional and courteous. The installation went perfectly and my new A/C unit works great. The cost for everything was SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER than their competitors for the SAME UNIT !!
