I'm not even sure where to start in praising this affordable and reliable family-owned HVAC company. We wanted to replace our two carbon-heavy, natural gas-fired wall heaters and water heater with an all-electric, efficient and modern heat pump system for our entire house. Hooray! No more natural gas! Air Cool Heating & Cooling Inc., which as been around for at least a couple of decades, chooses to keep itself fairly quiet and distinct from the heavy advertising (which customers pay for) honky-tonk of huge, high profile HVAC companies, but I'm so glad I discovered it and included it among the five companies that I interviewed for the job.   Air Cool's owner Sean Sadeghi spent more than an hour with us at our home, carefully listening to what we wanted. He answered all of our questions (including the dumb ones) patiently and in detail. He exuded a sense of integrity, expertise, and honesty. Plus, he has a great sense of humor. When he left, my wife said, "If the estimate looks good, HE'S the one!" I couldn't have agreed more. A couple of days later we received Sean's detailed report, with three possible option packages to consider. (Most of the other companies didn't offer options and just seemed to want to do the job their way, not ours.) We chose the option with the most features which, of course, was the most costly of the three. But listen to this: it STILL came in lower, by about two thousand dollars, than any of the estimates we'd received from the other four companies! And the components he recommended for the project were of top-of-the-line quality. So Air Cool Heating and Cooling Inc became the easy choice.  A couple of weeks later, after the equipment had been ordered, a big white truck rolled up the driveway and Sean and a crew of two jumped into action. And, boy, did they move fast. Over the next four days Sean, his congenial brother Ramin, along with innovative Jason, bustled through house and garage to install our new, awesomely efficient, quiet and earth-friendly mini-split heat-pump cooling and heating system, and a new heat-pump water heater.  They also accommodated a few lighting improvements I'd asked for at the last minute. At the end of each day, the crew cleaned up as if they'd never been there. Having these guys in our house was a pleasure, and by the end of the project they felt like family to us. I hate doing paperwork, so I really appreciated that Sean handled ALL the necessary permits and made certain we received every possible SMUD rebate. Sean explained to me he chooses to keep his company small so that he can be certain of maintaining the high levels of quality workmanship and service he's provided for decades. For thoroughness, expediency, a willingness to listen to their customers, their high caliber of work as well as pricing that we felt was more than reasonable, I can't imagine a better HVAC company than Air Cool Heating and Cooling, Inc. We knew we needed to replace our existing heating/cooling system but waited until it failed in the middle of summer. I called Air Cool Heating and Cooling. The next day following an evaluation of our system, we had a estimate that fit out expectation. Within 5 days the permitting, installation and 1st inspection were completed and the house was cool. A final inspection was organized a few days later and we are good to go with a ten year guarantee and two free follow-up annual inspection scheduled.
