"Hi Jason, I attempted to reach you by phone but only received your voicemail. I completely understand your concern and would like to get full details from you on this matter. In the meantime of waiting for your call, I went ahead and spoke with our technician, Paul, to gain some clarity around this. He came to your home Sunday afternoon and diagnosed that you needed a new pressure switch in order for your heat to work. Since part houses are closed on weekends and after hours, he was only able to provide you with a rough estimate on the part price. Monday morning he was able to locate the part and provide you an accurate quote - $198 for the pressure switch (part and labor included) and an acquisition fee of $125 due to the parts location being at a part house 30+ miles from our office. We, as well as most HVAC companies, charge acquisition fees for many reasons but the main reasons are: picking up the part quickly instead of waiting for it to be delivered/shipped, time and pay for our parts manager to drive retrieve the part. I can only assume the different items of this estimate may have not been communicated in a way that you were comfortable understanding the proposed work and associated prices. We are a company that strives to be industry leaders and believe in 100% customer satisfaction. I would like to refund your service fee and provide you an additional $100 off any services you may need in the future. If we are able to win your business again, I would like to be your main point of contact to ensure you have an experience that exceeds your expectations.
