The time of initial signing of the contract to when the work actually began was two months later. We kept getting pushed back because they were behind, which I completely understand, after seeing that most days were only four hour work days. They worked on our mold issue under the living room, which required several joist to be replaced, a sump pump installed, and plastic put under our house. They put in about 14 days of work at our house, but showed up after 11AM most days. They were at our house until after 10 PM the last few nights to finish the job, which is completely unacceptable for us who have to be at work early in the morning. When questioned why they couldn't work more than four hours per day, he said they were two hours away and their work day included drive time. That is terrible business! It is a waste of money when a hotel could be rented and the work knocked out in a week. We called and complained on day one because the lead man said they would arrIve around 9 AM. We called and didn't get a response until an hour later, saying they would arrive around 11-11:30 AM. Not a good first impression. They took up the floor without sealing off the rest of the house, allowing mold spores to move through our entire home. The smell was putrid and we had to leave our home. They made a huge mess and didn't clean up after themselves. We had to complain about this and insist they clean up after themselves. They didn't tell us we needed an outlet installed until two days prior to the sump pump being placed, which should have been communicated before the work began. They cut the power under our house in the living room and expected us to pay to have it fixed. After speaking with the owner, he only agreed to pay half of the damages which his crew caused. They used press board as flooring with nothing in between the two layers, or any kind of moisture barrier. We were dealing with a moisture problem to begin with so press board is the worst product to use, but it cost about $20.00 per sheet less than plywood. They left the press board uneven from the rest of our floor and left the remaining floor damaged. We now have to have someone else come in and spend an additional $10,000.00 to have plywood placed with a moisture barrier and new flooring put down. What really takes the cake though is getting a call the morning after the crew left after 10 PM asking why we hadn't paid them yet. He actually insinuated we weren't going to pay our bill! Not only were we dissatisfied with the work, we were accused of not paying our bill when we had not even viewed the final work.

The crew that did our foundation repair was absolutely wonderful. There were 4 gentlemen and I am not using that treminology likely. Each one of them were not just professional but they were friendly, polite and accommodating.. They answered every question I had with knowledge and respect. They cleaned up after themselves and even came back a 3rd day to do a small amount of cement work I questioned them about.. I would definately call on them again if I need any other brick or foundation work done in the future. I would like to add that they did a job that Alabama Foundation ran from.
