Alamo Construction and Demo

Horrendous worksmanship. We had an existing carport enclosed and remodeled our kitchen. Major issues all along the way. Cabinets installed so they dont open, hardware installed unlevel, wrong wood type installed to patch existing flooring. Backsplash is not level, because lower cabinets were never leveled. All drywall joints on new walls are now cracked due to poor material or poor workmanship. Walls have noticeable unlevel spots. The new white oak floors have areas that are splintering. The front porch has dips that collect rainwater against the front door. All new ceilings are cracking at the drywall joints. The project was estimated to take 4 months. It took over a year to complete. The experience was horrible and a year later I am still fixing mistakes.

We needed to add onto our home while staying within a strict budget. After reaching out to several contractors, Bob King at Alamo Construction Demo was the only one who provided a bid we could afford. From the start, he was responsive, professional, and transparent about potential challenges. Our addition?a two-bedroom space with a den and bathroom?was completed within budget. Construction took about the same amount of time as permitting and inspection. Bob worked with us at every stage, offering flexible options for fixtures, flooring, and finishes to keep costs in check. Before choosing Bob, we pulled permits and spoke with several of his previous clients, all of whom had positive experiences. Now, six months after moving in, we are grateful we chose him. For any future construction work, Bob will be our first call.

This company moved on this project pretty quick. No stopping to go work on another project. Finished the room earlier than expected. The only negative I have is that the workers were very messy ( no care for the yard ) and two young workers in training. However, I am pleased with the room

5.0 We hired Bob King and his crew to do a complete home remodel and we would hire him again. He kept things within our budget, the work was neat and professional, and the huge project was completed in a reasonable time frame (it was even finished a few weeks earlier than we had anticipated). My husband and I didnâ t live in our home during this massive remodel but we would come to the house several times a week to check out the work that was being done (it was easier to move in with the in-laws so that we would be out of the way of the work crew). Every time we came to the house, we noticed new work that was done, which means there were workers in our house almost every day. Itâ s hard to find a contractor that actually keeps things moving on your project when they have other projects happening at the same time, but Bob King was able to do this for us. We are so happy with the work that was done and will definitely be recommending Bob to family and friends!

Bob and his team are stellar! His ideas and vision helped me transform my detached garage into a luxury rental property. His bid came in below all of the other general contractors - yet his work greatly surpassed all expectations. I could not recommend Bob more! Two pieces of advice: 1. Trust Bob - he will spare no expense to get the job right for you, and at no cost to you. For example, I wanted an outswing door when an inswing door was originally installed. At no cost, Bob switched out the door! 2. Call Bob - if ever construction slows down, make sure Bob is aware. Whenever I got worried about the pace of construction, Bob had a crew there the next day and made great progress. Overall: FAST! QUALITY! CHEAP! Tell Bob to ask him for my contact information if you want a personal referral.

Bob and his subs did a great job. We had a bedroom addition, new bathroom and laundry room built and it turned out great. Bob is very professional and does quality work. We love how the house turned out. Bob is also very honest and far on pricing. We would hire him again.
