I was very happy with the quality of the work. Ulises was responsive and methodical from the beginning. We texted about the job, then he came over and took a look at the space. He thought about it carefully, took careful notes on the dimensions, and suggested putting in a glass-windowed pocket door to save space while letting more light in. He also suggested outlets and a light switch to keep the room up to code. His estimate wasn't cheap, but it was ultimately within a reasonable range of other estimates I received. It was a tricky job as we wanted the walls to go all the way up to a high timber-loft ceiling, around rafters and ducts. We selected the door from Home Depot ourselves. The job took about two weeks, partly just because they were waiting for the door to arrive. I was away for part of that time and Ulises texted me photos to keep me in the loop. He then came over and was extremely careful to match the stain on the door to the surrounding wood in the apartment, going out for additional tints to mix so he could get it right.

I have nothing but good things to say. I set-up a appointment two days after I initially contacted him and he was prompt and knowledgeable. The project was scheduled and completed within 2 weeks. He is overall very responsive to texts/calls and the work was what I expected. If I needed to do this again, I would hire him again, no questions asked.

We hired Ulises to do a complete gut rehab of our bathroom. From beginning to end, UIises and his team were great in making sure we were happy with the quality of work. They were patient with us through the process and tried to finish up as quickly as possible since this bathroom by the playroom. They always picked up after themselves and kept the area clean. Ulises always let us know what the next step was going to be and problem solved to keep the project moving along. We are very happy with the service and quality of work and receive numerous compliments on our bathroom AND our kitchen, which they also did.

Ulises Alanis and his team were phenomenal during the renovation process. His team was very respectful of keeping dust to minimum and arriving and leaving on time each and everyday. Ulises did a great job of keeping us informed on the progress and the next step of the renovation. He always answered my questions promptly (which were a lot) and helped in making decisions that made our kitchen look great. We kept on adding projects throughout the process and he never once got frustrated. He was more than happy to take them on. I really feel that he wanted us to be 100% happy with the final product. We were so happy that we had them do our bathroom as well. The pictures I have included do not give the final result justice. We will definitely use him again for any future project and refer them to family and friends.

For the wall project, the team working in our home were respectful of our home (and prepped very well for dust/paint needs); and they kept me updated along the way. The end product looks amazing-- you would never know it wasn't there. The custom wrought-iron railing was installed a week later and not only is it safe for our daughter, it looks SO much better! I can't thank Ulises enough for maintaining excellent communication, respecting our home, and doing an excellent job in a very short time frame. I would highly recommend Alanis Development for any of your improvement needs.

I called off work so he could come to look at it. He came to look at it, left and never contacted me. I called to ask for the quote and he said he had 6 customers ahead of me. It cost me a day of PTO time taking off.

Ulises and his team were very professional and thorough. The workers were efficient and detailed. Ulises demonstrated he values his costumers by reaching out during and after the project was complete to make sure we were satisfied with the job and to see if we needed anything else. I appreciated that he got the work done right before a holiday and even the morning of, which shows he has a dedicated team and will get the job done! The work was excellent and I would absolutely recommend and call his company again for future projects.

He called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way, which was really nice. These hinges were hard to get off due to the cabinet being so close to the base of my sink. He came out promptly and was on time, very knowledgeable and did an excellent job! He came prepared and was very reasonable pricing as well. I would absolutely recommend him to others!!

All of the work done by ADC is top notch. Most notable is the work they did on our new deck. Our old deck was weather beaten and was an eye sore. The new deck is fantastic! We are selling our condo shortly and ADC has turned a liability into a primary selling point. Thanks ADC!

I own a three flat in Chicago and have worked with Ulises on several projects in the past for my building. He is the first contractor I allow to bid on new jobs I have. The reason being because he is professional, honest, and provides good quality work. That being said, as we all know, things do not always go according to plan when you have someone doing work for you. When that happens, it can be very frustrating as an owner. Ulises and I had a mix up happen during our job that very much frustrated me at the time I found out about it. I called him pretty upset about the inconvenience that was being created. He had options with how he could have handled it. In response, he, his son, and his team came out during the middle of the night to fix the issue. They worked for hours into the wee hours of the night to make it right. That's what you need to know about him. He gets a lot right the first time and if he misses something, he works to make it right. Can't ask for much more. The work itself was great. The paint job looked beautiful and the floors were gorgeous when they were done. He will continue to remain on my shortlist of vendors I contact.

The problem was Alanis not abiding by their verbal statement that the $185 Angie's coupon plus another $185 would cover the job. He said that the extra $185 was because the job would require TWO MEN and the "material" meaning a small section of wallboard and mud. <br /> Come the day of the job Alanis sent ONE MAN to perform the work, who did a good job. The materials he used were two 2.5x2.5 pieces of wallboard, tape and some wallboard mud. That was it - nothing more. <br /> When the workman called Alanis to say the job was done Alanis came up with a final amount due of $270. If the two pieces of small wallboard cost $15 I would be surprised. The rest of the "supplies" mud & tape were taken back with the installer. <br /> I will never use the company again as it is run by a person that does not honor his word and at best is a liar if not a flat out scam artist.. BEWARE! <br /> <br /> <br />

They arrived promptly at the predesignated time and finished the work promptly. The drywall looks as if nothing had happened and they cleaned up after all the work had been done. Looks god and I'm very satisfied.

It was excellent, they really went above and beyond what we originally talked about at the original cost. They did tons of little additional repairs in our walls but didn't charge us anymore from our original quote. It was a really great experience.

Had some initial hiccups in connecting and scheduling the work but once scheduled, they arrived on time and did an excellent job on the dry wall. Gerardo was a pleasure to work with and he was especially careful about his work and cleaned up after himself. He required minimal supervision and made full use of the time that he had estimated for the job. Extremely satisfied and pleased with the results <br />
