Met Darrell at the "Big" home show at Cal Expo. He came out and gave us an estimate. Explained options, no sales pitch. Warned us in advance that our project would not be inexpensive based on the options we were considering. We went with Hardie cement fiber siding ,new windows and complete exterior repaint. Their crew was efficient and did quality work. Had to work around a delay in Sacramento County issuing our building permit, and rain. But the end result is amazing.

We chose Alco Exteriors for hardy backer installation on a mountain property that survived the Caldor fire. The property is difficult to access but that did not deter Luis and crew. Michael was very easy to work with and communicate with. The crew knock out the project within a week and we couldn't be happier.

Alco Exteriors recently completed exterior cement siding on an old barn that was riddled with wood pecker holes. They also replaced 3 large barn windows. Darrell,who oversaw the project from start to finish, did an excellent job explaining every step of the of project from start to finish. His crew were on time each day and worked very hard to make an ancient barn building look beautiful and new. We needed some residential windows replaced. When Mike and the crew found there was much more rain/water damage than expected, they got to work to tear out and replace half a wall of the house that was nearly destroyed by dry rot and shredded wood. There was little evidence inside the home. Mike's expertise, knowedge, and professionalism saved the day! His crew, including Luis, Hector, and all the other guys were awesome in their work ethic, courtesy, communication, and clean up. The job took several days more than anticipated, but Mike made it happen. This company defines perfectionism. They won't settle for anything less than doing the job right...every aspect of it. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

It was time to save the granny unit. This little one bedroom, 2 bath house was built in 1994. To say it needed repairs is an understatement. The weather side of the house looked like the siding was going to fall off, and several windows leaked. I had 4 bids. The difference in amount of money, product and service varied wildly. Darrell came out from Alco. He offered the 3rd bid. He took his time, and discussed all aspects of the project. I got everything I wanted: All new windows and a sliding glass door-btw these windows make a huge difference, as promised! Hardie board lap siding on top and board and bat on the bottom, All new paint (Sherwin Williams) 3 colors- bottom, top, trim. Alco even paid for multiple samples, so I could paint them right on the house. Replacement of rotten wood Lots of details like new vents, installing new lighting, and making a new door for the underpart of the house Quick clean up A price I could manage! $15,000.00 less than the highest bid An amazing attitude. Darrell made certain that when his crew left I was completely satisfied. All the workers were polite, hard working, and clearly had the goal of making me happy. In the end, I paid exactly the agreed upon price, no extras. On the final day, Darrell walked the entire perimeter of the house with me inspecting the job. Darrell told me that if down the road I notice anything that wasn’t right, give him a call. There were also written warranties on both the materials and workmanship. This little house is now beautiful! It no longer looks like it is going to fall down the hill. Neighbors have emailed and called complimenting me on the granny unit. The crew is really hardworking. They did a great job stripping off the old shingle siding and increasing insulation and installing new cementatious siding. This process isnt cheap, but I got a good price for the value of the work. They cleaned up every night and hauled everything away.

ALCO Exteriors did my exterior siding on one side of my house. The owner Mike was professional and provided a good explanation of what he was going to do. His workers were hard working and did a fine job too. I'd hire this company again.

Great work to replace our siding with new T-111 and add insulation around the house. The crew was very efficient and friendly even if they had to work hard on some hot days. The owners checked on the progress they're making every day. We'll highly recommend them for quality and price.

Took a while to compare bids, I had 5 bids, but from the get go, Mike provided me with his recommendations. I had 22. windows installed, new construction in the front and retrofit in the back. Installation was seamless with his excellent crew lead by Luis and Ben. The crew is professional, hardworking and punctual. Any request I had was handled quickly and efficiently. Mike and his crew give great customer service and respond to problems or concerns very quickly. Alcoâ s pricing was fair and reasonable and I felt their bid provided more value for the money. If you hire this company to install your windows you will be more than pleased.

They completed the job as scheduled. Adhered to a 8:00 am to 4:30pm work day. The entire crew was very neat and professional. They did a great job.

1. The Quote process: Michael came out a day or two after I reached out for a quote. I a lot of research and had a ton of questions. He was patient and answered all of them. He was the fourth contractor we had bid this job. We were looking to replace our cedar shingle siding with James Hardie lap siding. He produced the quote on site and that evening I reached out to ask about also replacing our windows. He came over again the next day to talk about it and measure. Came out a third time the next day with his partner and window specialist to measure and check for egress issues in the bedrooms. He was patient and thorough and prepared two separate quotes. One for siding and one for windows. We decided over that weekend to book him. 2. Ordering the custom windows took 6 weeks. So that how long it took to start the job. Siding only wouldve been about a month wait. This gave us time to prep all the parts of the house that would need to be painted to match the new siding. We did this part of the job ourselves and saved several thousand. Mike was upfront that his guys arent painters. Theyd do it, but what they really do is siding. 3. The install: Crew did the whole home demo in 4 hours. They were quick, clean, efficient, magical. The window install took two very long days but everything was done perfectly. The house needed insulation, so they threw that up in a day, and then did the OSB, Hardie Wrap. Once the siding started going up was when I could tell that the Foreman, Luis, was an artist and a perfectionist. He was as determined to get get it right like I was, and I couldnt have asked for a better person to lead the team. They had never done a white siding/white trim job before and it was challenging. They problem solved the whole time and even did some special projects for me as they went. All told, the entire job was done in 8 full days. The place was cleaned up and ready for inspection at the end of the last day. We COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED.

Mike was a light at the end of a long tunnel of confusing bids. He efficiently and professionally explained product details and cost. I truly believe he did his very best to give me the best price possible. He made sure he had enough hard working crew members to complete the complete re-siding and trim of my home. It looks like a brand new house.
