Chris was great . He was reliable, knowledgable and personable . Chris did exactly what we had discussed and more. It is so nice, especialy this day and time to find anyone with all these qualities. Will definitely use him again.

Chris Alderman provided a written estimate to replace my patio sliding glass door. We talked on the phone about the job a few times. He seemed legit. I did get other estimates to be diligent. They were comparable, but he told me he could install it the next day. I was excited to get it done quickly because my current one is broken. The night before installation at 8 pm, he said he was going to be here between 8-9 am, he texts me. He says he has to charge me another $50 to go pick up the door. He never mentioned an extra cost for door pickup or removal in his estimate. He never said there would be an extra cost on the phone. No mention of it. I feel like he was trying to railroad me into paying more because I already had the door ordered and paid for. I would not have a choice. I called and canceled the order. I am sure he would have just got here and tried to continue to add on unnecessary costs. After I told him that I was going with another company, he began messaging me and trying to intimidate me. He said to go ahead and report him to Angi because he makes too much money and they will not do anything. He told me in all caps to remember the name Alderman Construction. He refused to stop contacting me until I threatened to contact the police and file harassment charges. Something is definitely not okay with him! I researched him and was unable to find a trace of his business elsewhere online or through the BBB. It is terrible people try to take advantage of hard-working folks like me. I am a single mom and I actually work at a ministry serving the poor every day. I just wish people could be honest and fair in the world. Hopefully, the other guy is more honest. Pray for me!

He failed to show up for the job.

Chris replaced my front porches with Trex. He absolutely did a wonderful job. He worked with one helper and got finished quickly. I would hire him again to do porch flooring

Chris was on time and under budget. Very easy to talk to and very pleasant to deal with. Instead of replacing the dryer vent tube, which I was prepared to pay for, he brought an air compressor and blew out the accumulated residue. The bill for labor was one half of what was expected and there was no charge for parts. He is definitely on my list of call-backs.

Was very professional

Chris and his helper were both good workers and got my trash cut up, loaded, and hauled off in a timely manner. Good job. Would hire him for other jobs.

Chris communicated with me throughout the project. He demonstrated personal commitment. I have used contractors at the coast here for 15 years and Alderman Construction has set itselfapart from any of them. I would use Chris for any job he is capabile of doing. He;s the best!

On time and knows what he's doing

One of the best experiences I have had with a contractor. One of the biggest complaints I have when hiring out for a project is a lack of communication. Chris responded promptly to any questions I had and addressed any concerns I had regarding inspection and permits. On the days other members of his team did the work he would come in the afternoon to inspect the work that was done. I have already received compliments regarding the quality of the work he and his team accomplished. Chris's rates are very competitive. I highly recommend him and hope to do business with him again in the future.

Chris came out to discuss the project on a Thursday afternoon and prepared his estimate that weekend. We agreed on the details of the project and set a date. We worked with the Carteret County Inspector to get the permit. As soon as we notified Chris that we had the permit in hand, he called to see if it would be convenient to start the project early. We were glad to work with Chris to schedule mutually convenient times. Chris was here as scheduled each day. He arranged to be here to answer the inspector's questions. Chris finished the project early. The end result is just what we requested. In addition, our postal delivery people are thrilled with the convenience of the ramp! We would definitely hire Chris again!
