Alex Smith Hardwood Flooring

All this job was a headache- my husband had a list everyday of things that needed to be checked on/or addressed. From day one when we brought up a situation we were told it was the best it could be and nothing else could be done about it and Alex (owner)told my husband and I we were people â who woke up angry and needed to find Jesus!â . I personally donâ t need to be working with people that throw littles fits when a paying customer is trying to get a resolution. All in all the job turned out well but it was not worth it!

BEWARE He is not qualified to disconnect appliances or plumbing - "he's just a flooring guy". He disconnected our gas range causing a gas leak that put us in real danger. His callous disregard for our safety and well-being is just appalling! Had we not been at home that evening, there is a real possibility that our home would have exploded. He also left our electrical panel open and exposed for the evening with wires hanging, never mentioning to us to be careful. All he was concerned with was us acknowledging that he wasn't financially liable because of the clause in his proposal. We just wanted to see what the plumber found, and he refused to wait for that determination. It wasn't from corroded or faulty parts. He loosened the bolt below the shut off valve when he disconnected the range causing the leak. He caused the problem; you would think he would like to learn what happened but instead all he cared about was not being held financially responsible. He threw a tantrum, packed up and left leaving two senior citizens with no working toilet or sink in our powder room, disconnected range, disconnected refrigerator and sanded unfinished flooring. Cost us thousands to restore function to our home and we are left with unfinished floors. Don't let him touch your appliances or plumbing, you will regret it. Can't say if he's any good at refinishing floors since he never finished the job. Pics show condition he left our home and the electrical panel he left for the evening.

Alex and his crew were exceptional to work with and did a professional, high quality, job for us. They installed beautiful hardwood flooring in five bedrooms, great room, and dining room and we couldn't be happier!

Alex Smith Hardwood Flooring is awesome! Alex's company has done work for us three times now. The first two times we had floors refinished and this last time we had a new hardwood floor put in one of our bedrooms. All three times Alex and his team were on time, had the job done in the time estimated, left the spaces neat and clean and did a great job! Alex is also very accommodating, he's worked around our schedules and had floors done in the time frame we needed. This last time I called him and needed a wood floor put in very quickly. He was great and had samples brought over the next day, wood was dropped two days later and floors were in five days after that and they look beautiful!

My floors went from dull to GORGEOUS!! Alex is a true professional and takes pride in his work. He really takes the time to talk with you and make sure he gets the color and finish you're looking for. I would recommend Alex and his crew for all your flooring needs.

Alex did an exc ellent job from start to finish. He was excellent in his communication and timing, nothing was left to wonder. He was in and out in no time and we are very happy with his work. I would recommend him to anyone I know and those I don't! You won't be dissappointed!

Outstanding, professional! I could clutter this up with a lot of accolades...installed hardwood in office, then family room, then our entire second floor. He has also done a save for us, to his originally installed floors, when a reno job went south and we were left with rough floors. The original contractor said we should expect perfection. Well, with Alex you get as close to it as possible.

My floors look better than they did when they were new! Alex did a tremendous job on floors that had been beaten up over the years by 3 dogs. Alex delivered everything he proposed and more. He was extremely helpful in guiding me through stain vs. natural and satin vs. semi-gloss. We could not be happier with the outcome and have all ready recommended him to 2 of our neighbors. Carpets removed, hardwood floors were installed and also the existing hardwoods were refinished. It all looks seamless and great! Work was accomplished within the time frame. Clear communication with Alex & associate was consistent from start to finish. Overall excellent work!

Alex is very professional and easy to work with. His estimate was quite reasonable and he finished the work on schedule. They also made sure that we were satisfied with everything and cleaned up after each day's work. Would definitely use his services again.

Alex came and quoted the work, arrived promptly to complete it and it looks fabulous. However, it prompted me to get the area painted so it all looks amazing.

Alex immediately responded to my request. He even came out the same day to talk about my options. His employee, Brian, was very friendly and a hard worker. My floors look fantastic for a great price! I will be using him again!!!

Alex did an exceptional job on our floors - they look wonderful. He gave us the best price around, and took care to finish up each day so that we could access upstairs rooms (when he did the stairs) to get my kids to bed on time. Would absolutely recommend him and use him again.

Alex and his partner are excellent. My husband and I would recommend to family, friends and colleagues. They are very attentive to detail, with an end result as if they had never been in the home. We had wood floors put in to match existing 1st floor wood, and not only did it match the prior installed wood floors, there was no dust left and molding/air vents matched as if they were installed with the prior construction. Alex Smith also is very good at communicating arrival and departure times, as well as instructions for the home owner. We were also able to work from home & eat in the kitchen very close to the new installation w/ no problem.

Well planned and keep up informed about the plan in details, very thoughtful to isolate working area from others so that no dust went to other rooms. Clean up at the end of work. The hardwood floor installation was completed beautifully. We have never seen such an excellent project. We highly recommendate Alex for hardwood floor projects..
