We have a new house and it came with a 10 x 12 wooden deck. We wanted a composite deck and screened-in porch, so the wooden deck was demolished and we had a 12 x 14 screened-in porch built with a door to a 10 x 12 open deck. It is absolutely remarkable. I wish there was some way to submit photos with this review. My neighbor was watching the progress and she wanted the company's name and number. her parents ended up hiring him to build a porch, I believe. originally there was a mixup and there was a delay in the beginning but it all turned all well.

"Karen and Ed were wonderful customer's to work with. There were some miscommunications regarding the permitting and some delays due to Covid19 and materials. Their screen porch transformation turned out wonderful and has created a backyard oasis for them to enjoy their retirement."

This should replace an earlier review done in haste. Owner is an excellent builder, but communication was not his best asset. There may have been some health issues and availability of supplies involved, which could have delayed the project. Project is complete and well done. Thanks Scott.

"The deck rebuild project for Brian was certainly a challenge. It was a second level deck that had a glass greenhouse enclosure built under the entire thing. We had to carefully work off of ladders while not damaging the structure below or hurting ourselves. The Covid19 pandemic definitely caused so delays with the materials and with some health of several of our team members. Ultimately, the new deck turned out wonderful and will provide a safe outdoor space for he and his wife to enjoy the wild animals in the backyard."

I hired Scott on June 29th, he told me that due to the pandemic, permits were going to take up to a month to be approved. A month passed, and Scott told me that due to other projects it would be another month until he was able to start building mine. We kept in communication and he finally came out, and finished my deck in September, and it came out beautiful, I'm very satisfied with his work.

I initially reviewed All American Deck & Porch with a lower score due to communication issues with Scott not responding to calls, texts and emails. That was after hiring and having a tentative start date. I learned he was unreachable due to a family emergency which prevented him from communicating with customers. I have the same issue with another contractor due to COVID. I have a customer service and project management background and expect vendors to communicate with the people hiring them, especially when delays are involved. I believe these recent experiences are isolated and not the norm for local businesses. The deck was completed over 3 days but Scott had issues initially with the design requirements for this particular town home. The county approved the permit but later discovered it had to be a free-standing deck requiring additional digging and materials. He had challenges getting the material because they were not available from one source. Scott and his crew were extremely friendly, polite and respectful and answered questions during construction. More so than the inspector that came by from the county to inspect. If selecting All American Dec & Porch for a project, recommend discussing the permit process, project management, resourcing plan and timeline so you understand how and when the project will be delivered and they understand your timeline and requirements. It will prevent questions and potential frustrations. They built a deck we like, but getting there unfortunately involved frustrations and questions.

I would highly recommend! Scott and his crew did a great job! Our deck is beautiful. The process was quick and easy. He took care of everything to include obtaining the necessary permit, we just had to obtain HOA approval.
