They are basically a swindle, and all I can really say is that I should have trusted my gut when they knocked on my door. Do not trust them with your home. That is the short version. For the full story, please read on. First, for what it is worth, they may have been in business 20 years somewhere else, but NOT in Montana. This review is for their Montana-based services. Odd they should have so many CO reviews on their MT page, do not you think? It was not their fault that I had an extra layer of siding, or that my insurance company was, at times, slow to respond. I understand that. But once they had my money they stopped returning phone calls. Started firing people left and right (those who did not quit) so I had NO IDEA who was in charge of my project for MONTHS while my house was without siding. Without ANY siding. From February until almost July when ANOTHER COMPANY had to come in and get the job finished. Why did another company have to move in? Well, between firing people, switching subcontractors TWICE, and what I heard from others around town, they also were not paying subcontractors. So, no one wanted to do business with them if they were wanted any money. The owner had no real interest in building a relationship in the area, just getting easy money, and everything else was a distant fourth. To top it all off, they were either so incompetent they did not know how to read/listen to what people told them, or they were untruthful to my insurance company on purpose, so they could keep delaying getting the work done and getting paid. I do not know which it was. At this point, I do not care which it was. All I know is that after multiple discussions with the subcontractor, my own insurance agent, and them, only one of the three stories did not match. It was theirs, and no one knew why, but it meant nothing got done because my insurance company was not going to pay for the falsehood they told instead of the truth, which might have actually worked. The job got finished, eventually. The roofing is fine, mostly, except for the odd bumps where they just slapped additional material on top with no sense for form or function. The siding was done by someone else, so I will reserve comment on the finished product here. The experience? I have had surgeries on my neck which left fewer scars. Suffice it to say, I was and remain unhappy with the umpteenth degree with this *company* (and I use the term in quotes because it is more of a joke than it is a company). Bottom line: Do not use them.

We had roof damage from a hail storm in August 2019. Met these guys at a home improvement show, and they quoted us exactly what insurance gave us to do the roof repairs. Took 2 months for the quote to be approved and everything to be ordered. The roofing subcontractor did not show up on time when scheduled and did part of the job in the dark. Did not finish that day, so they came back and finished the second day. Would have been well and fine except for the fact that the temperature dropped that day and our roof did not seal the way it should have. As a result, the shingles continue to flap in the wind and come off the roof every time we have high wind gusts (mind you we live in a reasonably windy area of town). They never came back to do our gutters, which were included in the roofing contract. Had to email and call several times. My husband finally called and talked to the general manager before the gutters were even scheduled (we had been lied to repeatedly about their gutter crew not being available or reliable and then ordering their own gutter machine - which did not happen as a subcontractor actually came and did the gutters). The gutters turned out great, thanks to a subcontractor who was willing to come on basically no notice and get them done. Mind you this was after we had paid our invoice in full for the entire roofing job. The entire job was not even completed until January. That does not include the multiple times they have had to come back out to replace shingles that are repeatedly coming off our roof because they did not do things the way they were supposed to. Oh, and did I mention the city told us the roof was never inspected for adequate ice and water shield before they actually did the shingle work? Basically they did not do the entire job the way they should have. Next time we will be shopping local and will never recommend these guys to any friends, family, coworkers, or even random strangers who might ask for a roofing specialist.

Supplies dropped off in the snow near the driveway. Several weeks later workers showed up no notice. Removed snow from the roof, left. Came back the next day. Cold. Returned day three, finished. Did not do gutters or shed. A month later returned at 4:30 to do shed. Dark at 5:00. Forgot under pad. Reminded them. They did not take off on a third of shingles already on but put it on and finished in the dark. The next morning picked up a pan of nails, etc. Weeks later came back did gutter and three-fourths of the leaf guard. Weeks later went and talked to the general manager. Promised next day. Called salesman. Said I should hear in the next few days. Several weeks later, not finished. No final inspection. Paid in full after talking to General Manager when promised it would be done. What a fool I was. Still, not finished 2/18/20. I will update when the job is done when and if.

I went through them for insurance work. snake oil salesman quoted price of fixing Roof, windows, siding, and gutters as $15,000 and gave them half of it to start work. I did ask him several times if this price covered everything and He said yes and that He would do everything and that we would not have to pay another cent. Did fine work on Roof and gutters, but when the job was done they wanted me to pay up. Told me that the $15,000 was just for roof and gutters and that they would need another $10,000 to do the siding and windows. So! I got lied to several times and threatened that if I did not pay the balance right then that they would not complete work. They needed the money because after December 1st the cost of material would go up. Well, the contract was started way back in August 2019 so why would affect me. I told them that I did not want them to finish work. Insurance money did not pay for everything so this final money I owed them would have to come out my pocket. Yes! Their subcontractor did a great job on the roof and finished in one day with the house and detached double garage. Just be aware of the exact words in the contract before signing and make sure that ALL OF THE SERVICES you asked for are going to be done under that contract. Pretty sneaky.

Thomas Fisher was my project manager. Received a typed and detailed quote. Was 2nd best quote of 5 quotes. After due diligence the best quote was disqualified thus making All Around the best legitimate quote. Due diligence was detailed and included speaking with the materials manufacturer and verifying insurance. During due diligence I had a lot of questions. Thomas was quick to respond to each. I wanted to add a warranty and I wanted to add gutters (Asked for price and again Thomas was quick to respond). Once we came to signing day Thomas made sure all my questions were answered first. It was only a matter of days before Thomas gave me a work schedule and a few days later there was a team on my roof. Fortunately my POA was quick as well. A day later the gutter team came in and by happy accident the gutter color is an exact match to my home's trim. Not almost - it is exact. A couple days later there is yet another member of the team setting up ladders for the inspector. Passed without a problem. This company works as a team. There are certain people who do certain things (roof, gutter, inspection, project manager, warranty person) and your project manager is the one communicating most. I highly recommend this company based on my experience. The experience was highly professional, excellent quality, painless from start to end.
Response from All Around Roofing and Exteriors Montana

At first they were great at communicating everything that was going to happen. I submitted my claim in August was told my work would be completed by the end of October. The work finally started in December and everything was finished by January. The project manager was hard to communicate with and did not always respond to my messages. There were several times I had to call the office directly to get him to respond to me. As far as I know the roof is complete and done. All the work they did was great it just took forever to get it done. I don’t know if it’s an issue with the company necessarily, I think they just have so much work that it’s hard to keep up with and they are not great at communicating. If you use this company you definitely need to stay on them and keep your project moving.
Response from All Around Roofing and Exteriors Montana
"All Around Roofing & Exteriors regrets the poor and at times lack of communication to you. We strive and expect much better from our Project Managers. This project was based, like so many others, on storm related damages, and had to go through a lengthy insurance related process called supplementing. While the original claim was dated August, USAA, did not approve the supplement request, for the work they failed to cover initially, until October. Once that occurred, we contracted with you. While we dealt with weather and trade related delay's, the project finished and was final invoiced to USAA, for all final funds to be released, in February. These insurance related claims take time and patience. But I want you to know, we are sincerely sorry for the lack of communication throughout the process. You and all of our customers deserve better and should expect better. Thank you for letting us know about your experience, so we can get better each and every day."

Paper filing not completed. Agreed to fix a pillar. Not done.
Response from All Around Roofing and Exteriors Montana
"All Around Roofing submitted the necessary paperwork to the homeowner's insurance company on January 7. This was the second time we sent the requested documentation and the funds were released to the homeowner on January 11. We have also submitted rebate requests to GAF and supplied that confirmation information to the homeowner. This was also completed in early January. We certainly apologize for any miscommunication, but the review is simply not accurate and encourage the homeowner to reach out to our office if she has any questions."

We originally rated this company a poor score due to the fact we had difficulties with the Project Manager ( Chris S.)not the Brother of Ryan S. who continually would make decisions that were not discussed with us the Homeowners and against our wishes by his continued lying and throwing the blame elsewhere instead of holding himself accountable for his actions. In order to get the attention of Management regarding our situation we contacted Home Advisor to step in. The 1st owner, Ryan S., came out to note all the errors that needed to be completed in order to pass final inspection by our Lien Holder. He also replaced the damages to our window shutters and lawn lights by allowing us to choose what we wanted and even had everything installed. Mr. S. was the 1st person to provide a sympathetic apology for the hassles we have gone through from August 2018 to August 2019. He made a few extra trips out to verify that everything was taken care of correctly. We then met with the other owner ( Steven S.) in which we discussed compensation for the incorrect product installed ( knowingly done on part of the Project Manager Chris S.) who kept throwing the blame at the Insurance Company ( in fact the Insurance Company did not care what we as Homeowners chose to put on our house). Mr. S. also provided us compensation for the inconveniences and stresses we went through for that year. Mr. S. also stated that our original review and all the emailed documentation communications between us and the Project Manager Chris S., they as a company have had their eyes opened and now can focus on improving their customer service and communication.
Response from All Around Roofing and Exteriors Montana
"All Around Roofing certainly regrets the poor experience and we have been working with the homeowner to get her issues resolved. From the beginning, we have agreed to take care of the property that was damaged during the installation of the roof. Unfortunately, these things to happen sometimes during construction and we will always make it right when brought to our attention. I understand that homeowners want things done a certain way, however, we work from, and most of our contracts are based on, the insurance scope. All Around Roofing never agreed to upgrade Kristina's siding. When possible we use the highest quality materials, however, insurance only pays to replace the same type of material that existed prior to the damage. In this case, we did upgrade a 3 tab roof to a Class 4 shingle, plastic gutters to aluminum, and plastic domed skylights to Velux mounted skylights- all on our dime and to ensure a quality end product. We will continue working with the homeowner through the insurance and mortgage process to make sure that goes as smoothly as possible, and as we have offered before, members of our management and ownership staff are open to meeting with the homeowner in person anytime to discuss past and ongoing issues."

The roof itself was done very well. They promised to replace my skylights, but never did and eventually told me to find another contractor. Although the roof was well done the work continues for me to find yet another contractor to replace skylights.

They left nails and trash in my yard, and oil stains on my driveway. They knocked a hole in my new siding. They were supposed to replace the old deck boards, but instead placed the new ones on top of the old ones.
Response from All Around Roofing and Exteriors Montana
"The correct way for a re-deck on a re-roof is to go over the existing decking This is the city code requirements if there is bad decking or space decking. This is also the way the manufacturer specs call for on a redeck. All Around Roofing and Exteriors goes by all manufacture specs and city codes. If you as a homeowner wants us to do it differently and not go by city code or manufacture specs we will not do that. I apologize if this upsets you for but we pull the permit with the city and it is our license on the line and we want to make sure it is done the correct way to code and manufacturer requirements."
