I needed a disk lock drilled off on my storage unit because I had lost the key. They responded to my request here on Angi very quickly, and I was able to schedule same day service. The lock was a bit difficult to remove, but they worked on it until they got it off. Well worth what I paid, as I can now move all my stuff out this weekend.

He responded quickly in an urgent situation, and he took care of everything thoroughly and with skill. As a homeowner and landlord for over twenty years, I'm familiar with what it generally costs to get locks changed, installed, repaired etc. The service call and overall bill were about double what I normally pay for the same amount of work from experienced locksmiths. I didn't ask for an estimate in advance as it was worth paying a premium to get this done quickly for my tenant, but I would have appreciated hearing in advance what it would be. I still might have gone forward, but as Schlage was offering to send out a tech at no cost a few hours later, I'm not sure. The basic service call was $160 (listed as a discount from $175) compared to $70 to a $100 for other locksmiths I've worked with. I will use them again if I have a similarly urgent need where price is the least concern as I'm happy with the quality of work.

At the same time, we?d like to take a moment to clarify the charges you had mentioned. The total charge of $160 discounted from $175 entailed much more than just the basic service call charge. The $160 was composed of our Flat Rate Service Call Charge, as well as opening the door on a Lock-out of your Schlage KeyPad (without having to drill or brake the lock), then proceeding to remove the KeyPad in order to replace the 9V battery and re-install the lock back on the door and have it properly functioning again. This information is detailed on the Invoice you received as well. We will be very glad to be of continued service to you in the future should you wish to give us the opportunity again and we are available 24/7 for any and all urgent or non-urgent Locksmith needs but our prices remain the same whether the call is an ?emergency? lock-out service or an appointment made for another day. We don?t take advantage of our customers? urgent emergency need and raise the prices on emergency service; we simply note the job as an ?emergency? to get our technician out to the customer as soon as possible. Thank you once again."

Had a door locked shut on a Sunday. They showed in a little over an hour and proceeded to change all of my locks which I had planned to do in the future. It wasn't an emergency so I really appreciated the willingness to come on a Sunday afternoon and offer to do all of the work at that time rather than coming back during the week. Spent a little over 3 hours at the house doing all that I needed.

Ran Glycher is a pleasure to work with. His expertise helped us find the right mortise lock replacement for our front door. He ordered the lock for us and worked on its installation until it was perfect. Plus he smoothed out the operation of deadbolts I had installed in other doors. I have never met a locksmith who was so easy to work with and who did such excellent work. Highly recommend!
