*** 4 words to describe Jerry: Exploitive, Unethical, Dishonest Christian *** This is the REALLY short story of my dealings with Jerry, the swindle. THIS COST ME $350!! https://photos.app.goo.gl/da5DKhdsMpj2TFn37 After hearing my woes about a previous handyman and how important it was for me and my 80-year-old mom to get the swing up and safe, Jerry quoted me $750 to hang the swing. For emotional reasons, I agreed. He spent about 20 minutes prying some aluminum, removing 5 pieces of 12 in. siding, and cut out 3 pieces of OBS board; he would return to finish the job. https://photos.app.goo.gl/da5DKhdsMpj2TFn37 Eary the next morning, I told him I had reconsidered and could not swallow paying $750; I told him it was more than my mortage and I could go back to sitting on chairs. But, I wanted to pay him for his time the previous day. He said I would have to pay $350! Then minutes later he said I would have to pay $425 because he would have to pay restocking fees. My brother talked to him and just to make me and mom (80) happy, he would pay $600 (still insanely expensive) to finish the job. Jerry said NO. I did not want to stiff him and my brother refused to pay the *restocking* fee. The entire swing project made me sick. To be done with him, I told my brother to just pay him! He electronically paid Jerry $350 for 15 minutes of work.

Jerry Perez from the plumbing company came out to fix a leak around the shower head. He said he had fixed the leak and then charged us $185. He then recommended that we remove and fix the drywall behind the tub surround and quoted us 1500 for the job. In the pics he sent, none of the drywall around the shower head looked like it was touched to fix the leak. The quote for the drywall was high so we decided to get someone else to remove the drywall and fix the areas affected by the initial leak for less than half what Jerry quoted. While replacing the drywall, the other company saw water still spraying from the dog ear fitting. When reached out to Jerry about what he fixed, he said he was busy at another job. The issue at hand is the job was not done and we still had to get the leak fixed. In the process of all of this Jerry made it seemed like he was saving us on taxes and saving us money which we never asked to not pay taxes. We have worked with many businesses in the past and never had this kind of poor workmanship, integrity, and dishonesty ever. When we approached the company they said they will not give us a partial refund, and blamed us for not calling them back. At one point while asking for a refund, he blamed the tenants for causing the leak to happen again. The other company fixed the leak, replaced plumbing with pex, replaced valves, replaced drywall, removed and sprayed any mold, and still came in under half the $1500 quote. This company really tried to take advantage of this situation and hope this review helps others if they decide to work with All Purpose Plumbing and Rooter.

Jerry was prompt: msgd that he was on the way and arrived on time. Work was done efficiently; quickly. Clean work habits and ethic. He did job for which other contractors were not excited to do. I'll remember him and call again when I need a handyman.

Jerry came right on time as said he would; hung my cornice boards as requested. I thought a little pricey for this particular project but I didn't get other quotes to know. Very nice and polite.

Jerry texted that he was on his way and arrive as scheduled. He looked at both of my requests and completed the one that really needed the work. I'll keep him in mind for future handy work.

Jerry responded to my request very quickly, showed up on time, and was able to do the work! Will definitely use them again and would highly recommend.

I think his intentions were good in the beginning, but I think he saw an opportunity and he took it.
