All Star Home Inspections

Purchasing a new home is a big investment for me so it was vital to ensure the home inspection company my realtor referred provided prestige service. I knew little about All Star Home Inspections, so my feelings were as mixed about the company as its reviews were. However, I remained optimistic! The inspection service Mr. Chuck provided was amazing and exceeded all my expectations. The price was well worth it! I received an email with the completed inspection report less than two hours after the home inspection was complete. The inspection report was so thorough you would think he was purchasing the property for himself. It included minor issues with major consequences if not dealt with. These issues were not visible to the untrained eye. Mr. Chuck is professional and extremely knowledgeable of the inspection process and other areas. For example. I own a home out of state, and he provided tips to ensure when I decide to sell, it is advantageous for me and the buyer.

Really didn't do anything that I couldn't do and notice. I had to ask for something to be included because it was not fixed. But he seem as if he didn't want to add it. Did not go on top of the house, but stated that it was not included when the website stated it was. I felt like I threw my money away for nothing.

Chuck did a great job. I was a little late for the appointment. By the time I got there, Chuck was doing his inspection. He documented everything. Very thorough.

The Inspector was super thorough. He went through the home & then took me through, explaining everything I needed to get fixed.Whuch, in my case, wasn't but a couple of things.

We were really disappointed with our home inspection. We signed a contract stating that for $300 we would receive a full home inspection, including a detailed report and the inspection would be completed by Charles Tolbert. The day before our scheduled inspection we received an email stating that Charles would not be doing the inspection and his assistant would be (Dwayne). We did not receive any details of Dwayne's qualifications for completing our home inspection. Dwayne was not disrespectful but he was not very easy to communicate with either. He walked around the outside of the home and took some photos. Entered the home and took photos and detailed two warranty jobs that we had already addressed with the builder and were in the middle of correcting. We pointed out several things that we already saw as issues, some of which he said where issues to address, took photos but never put them in the report that was emailed to us. We also brought a concern we had with the drain over our back porch (drain is visible from the upstairs back bedroom) he never even checked it while he was here. We emailed Charles that evening to ask about it and to make sure it was included in the report, we received no reply (and it was not listed on the report). We were promised the report by noon on the next day by Dwayne. We called three days later since we still had not received the report. No call was returned, no email sent to us as a customer courtesy. We did receive the "report" five days later. Once we downloaded the "report" to view we were very disappointed to see the lack of detail, professionalism or quality work. The report only showed some photos with minimal comments. No details of what the issues where, how they should be addressed or what would be suggested to be done to complete the issues. We reached out directed to Chuck to express our dissatisfaction with our overall home inspection first to give him the courtesy of discussing it with us; we wanted a week with no reply or call. Overall we feel our inspection was not handled in a very professional manner and we are disappointed with making the decision to have All Star Home Inspections complete our inspection.

Review was easy to read and translate to ask seller to take action. Our inspector kept us well informed and was in good communication. It is rare if for me to rate perfect, but I highly recommend Chuck.
