I wanted to insulate my attic. I have a split-level home. I had a few other companies come out to my home. All-weather came out and were very knowledgeable professional courteous checked everything out even brought a thermal imaging camera. Mr. Bob showed me on the thermal imaging camera on my inner walls by the roof lines the where Major cold spots where the cold air was getting in my home. He also explained what he would do and how it would fix the problem. My home was built in the 80s I also did not have enough installation in both of my attics. On my lower roofline, I did not have an access panel for it so they installed one. The All-Weather Team with John and Joe were professional, courteous, polite knew what they were doing and how to do it they. They cleaned up their mess both days and left things better than it was before. With this Covid thing going on they did wear a mask the whole time. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. If you want the job done right 1st with no issues no run around. Call All Weather Shield!

Great group. Was willing to rework the project to make it easier for me to use. Great communication. Would hire again. Gave me an estimate on the spot instead of other contractors who I had to wait for weeks and never responded afterwards. Nice work.

Company was great to have in our home. The men did an outstanding job on our attic insulation, baffling and sealing. Crew worked hard and did an outstanding job. When they left you would have never known they were here, spotless cleanup. Their price was $1200-2000 cheaper than the other prices we were quoted from 2 other companies.

Great experience. Very affordable and Bob promptly followed up to ensure I was satisfied with the job.
Response from All Weather Shield
"Thanks! This Home energy audit led to 3 Jobs, Insulation and air sealing of the attic along with air sealing around his foundation with Foam to insulate and stop air penetrations at the bander boards. We also replaced the basement windows as part of another proposal effectively stopping the greatest loss of heat in his basement. The last job which the homeowner will not see the benefit until next summer, was the install of an attic Breeze solar fan. I only install solar fans if other areas of air and heat loss have been addressed in the attic first by doing a premium air seal. This prevents the risk of drawing air out of the conditioned space that would cause condensation and mold risks. This means His garage should be Cool in the summer and his AC will not have to work as hard since the heat will not radiate in as badly as it did last year. Thank You Again, It was a pleasure serving you (Hope that heating oil usage went way down!.) Bob"

I requested a quote for a two-story structure to be insulated. I was also collecting quotes from other companies. I chose this company because their quote was much lower than others. My work was scheduled for approximately a month after signing a contract with them. When they arrived to do the job I was then informed that the quote I received was incorrect and only for one level. I was told that I either paid a higher price than what was quoted or they would not complete the job. I felt this was unfair as I had signed the contract in good faith that they quoted me their correct price. They did give a small break in the price when they realized their error but had I known the true quote I would have gone with another company. They also told me that I should have caught **their** mistake. Was this a bait and switch or a true mistake? Check your estimate before signing a contract.
Response from All Weather Shield
"This Customer Received a Quote to insulate a one story garage w/ the sloped roof in the attic also being insulated, The walls though numbered separately had the price accidently missed. The Terms on the contract says that these errors can be addressed at any time. We were willing to stop work after the priced item was completed before starting the item in dispute. Definitely not bait and Switch, as we would not be in business for 44 years if we did this as a course of business. I was truly sorry for the mistake and did extend a price that reflected his lowest received bid to be fair. All in all he paid the lowest bid and lost no money since he would have rejected my bid if it would have had no typo/missed information. Yes you should always check you estimate before signing any contract! Always throw out the highest and lowest bids. Lowest is usually the "Cheapest" Work and the highest usually is a throw out bid. I know I have done the Highest bid to avoid a job that appears to be a hassle or not something we really want to tackle."

Bill (owner) came to our home to estimate installing blown-in insulation under attic floorboards. He explained the work, gave a lot of information, and showed a binder of notes he had received from previous customers. Later, he called because he forgot about a small jut-out in our living room (and said since it was his error, he would add it to the quote at no cost). We were happy with the quote, so we called to schedule and were given our choice of days in December - we were told that we were the first to schedule for the month. We chose a Tuesday and were guaranteed that the work would take 2 installers in 1 day. A few days later, we called Bill because we realized he had not included a small jut-out in the back of the house - if the front needed insulation, we asked whether the back would need it as well. He told us, yes, but instead of adding it to the quote for free (since he had also missed this area), he was going to charge us an additional $200. We were not thrilled but did not think we had an alternative. Our installation day arrived, and we received a phone call around 8 am that one installer *called out* and the other was sick, so the work would not be done that day. At 9 am, we called the office and spoke with Marie. She told us they had scheduled a 3-day job beginning Wednesday (the next day) and did not know when they would be able to reschedule us. We told her that this was not acceptable, that we had been planning on this and could not wait a few more weeks. We politely asked for priority, since we had been the first to schedule and the next people could at least be given 24-hours notice of a schedule change due to the guys being sick (i.e. that all jobs be pushed a day). She told us that she would have to speak with Bill and would let us know. Around 12:45 (Marie only works until 1), we called Bill directly, as we still had not heard back about our request that our installation is shifted to their next working day. After explaining the situation (which Bill seemed unfamiliar with other than that the guys were sick), he was very rude to us on the phone, insisting that people get sick, and he cannot control the schedule. After repeatedly trying to tell us that he would call us back the next morning (which we said was unacceptable, as we needed to plan our schedule), he finally said we will be there tomorrow and abruptly hung up. The next day (Wednesday), an installer did come to our house. However, only 1 person (we had been told 2 installers) worked and then left at 2pm. He gave us no reason why the work could not be finished in 1 day (as quoted), just that he had to leave and return the next day. Two installers came on Thursday to finally finish the job (about 2 additional hours). They drilled 2 holes in our living room ceiling before they realized that no insulation could be added. They proceeded to patch these 3-inch holes with a couple of inches of spackle. We asked why they were not using tape or mesh in addition to the spackle and were told that *they do not do that.* To summarize, what was supposed to be a 1-day installation took 3 days, significantly disrupted our lives at home and at work, and caused a great deal of stress. We have 2 unnecessary holes in our living room ceiling and all areas did not require insulation (meaningless product than expected was installed). We understand that people get sick (which is not the cause of our frustration); we do not feel the rest of the situation was handled well. We did express our concerns to the office, but they did nothing to try to make things...
Response from All Weather Shield
"I completely apologize if I came across as rude to you. I've tried reaching you by telephone but have had no success. Unfortunately, this situation was caused by a lack of communication on our part. One of our employees was coping with a family death and one was ill. I did my best under the circumstances and had an employee finish your job basically by himself even though it took longer than originally scheduled. All in all, your house should be warmer and will cost less to heat. We appreciate your business and again, I extend my sincere apologies for any distress we caused you."

We are writing this thank you letter to praise your Field Installation Tradesman Mike and Eddie for the recent job they completed for us. They flawlessly removed our old garage ceiling insulation installed new Low E Reflective Sheets over our entire garage ceiling and fixtures. They then blew in their â blow in insulation systemâ and ceiled it up nice and tight. They taped all seams neatly and carefully. Mike and Eddie are true professionals. From start to finish, they courteous, listened to us, answered our endless questions, and their workmanship was impeccable. They were very meticulous with their work, precise on all the details and worked so quietly we hardly knew they were here. They were quiet, neat, and did an excellent clean up. All their work was top notch quality. They are the most professional tradesmen I have ever met and witnessed their work firsthand. At every stage of the job they asked us if we had any questions and if we understood everything that they had shown us or explained to us. Mike and Eddie are truly invaluable members of your team and their actions at all levels represent your company in the highest manner. You should be very proud of them and their performance. We will certainly call upon Mike and Eddie and All Weather Shield Inc. for all our future work because of our excellent experience with Mike and Eddie.

Soundproofing Service
My goal was to soundproof my office from loud children. This was not accomplished. I tried a new door, which helped a little. I added weather stripping to the door, which also helped some. The installer was kind, courteous and professional, but I wish these extra steps were taken by the technician. I paid over $1,000 for about 3 hours of work with little gain. I never had a follow up call to check on results. Very disappointed.
Response from All Weather Shield
"We were not aware that the customer said it did not work, until we read this. What we did would produce a sound transmission rating STC of 37 - which the CertainTeed Corporation describes as "loud" speech is audible but not intelligible. As always I reviewed the CertainTeed published STC ratings with the customer prior to beginning. Now that we know that the customer is not satisfied, we have an appointment set to go to his house after Christmas to review and brainstorm the job. With the help of CertainTeed Manufacturer of sound rated doors was finally located. I think this is very important because most of the sound seems to be coming through the doors. Any door with an STC of 32 is approaching the STC rating of the walls we insulated. We went out to Mr. D's (consumer name withheld per their request) house and discovered his door seemed to be the culprit. The wall to the right of the door was working as designed. We are contacting CertainTeed regarding door sound ratings. We will keep you up to date on our progress"
