How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because Hello, my name is Troy Allgood and I am the owner of Allgood Electric Inc of San Antonio. I started my electrical career as an electrician’s helper in a work study program in High school at that time called ICT(Industrial Cooperative Training). I worked half days, weekends and summers throughout High school. I attended Sam Houston State University (82′), also working as an electrician, for my part time work. I left the University for a while to work full time for an electrical contractor for several years. I returned to SHSU, as a licensed Journeyman electrician, got a job working for the University as a Maintenance Electrician. I finished my coursework at SHSU with a BBA in General Business Administration and during the same time period, was able to get my first Electrical Masters License with the City of Huntsville, TX. .

We started in this industry in 1980.

I am a first time home buyer and we had a loose light fixture in the closet I thought oh I can fix this wiggle little little bit and realize my life is not worth whatever this is gonna cost to fix. It was about 140 but that's a lot cheaper than the cost of a funeral

Ron and EZ did a great job. Ron replaced a light socket in our Kitchen ceiling fan. EZ replaced a hanging light fixture over the indoor stairs leading to the second floor. The installation of the Integrated LED Recessed Ceiling Light Retrofit required EZ to access the attic and move the center about 1" because a horizontal beam was in the way. I bought flat white paint and a paint brush and EZ painted over the caulked area. All work was done at a reasonable price. The name of the company is representative of the work they do - ALL GOOD!

Jacob gave a quote for installing a 120V outlet in a new shed. He discussed how the project would be done and gave a written quote. Called the following day to confirm we wanted the job done. When he and an assistant showed up to do the work, they resurveyed the job and decided to go a shorter route with the conduit and wiring. Gave approval for the change and mentioned should take less materials and labor. Which it did. When the job was done, he said he'd give 10% discount off the quoted parts/labor quote because it did indeed take less time & materials. Appreciated the consideration. However, had their Home Advisor discount coupon for 10% off labor for seniors or retired military (qualified on both counts). Asked for the discount off labor and was told to use the coupon next time. It didn't amount to that much (about $60); however, it was the principal. They were professional, showed up on time, and would hire again.
