Allshire Building is a company of kind, hard working, honest people which as we know, is not always easy to find in the construction business. It is also not very easy to find a company that is interested in small to mid-size project in the Birmingham area which seems to be their specialty. We hired Allshire to renovate all of our bathrooms and kitchen and are extremely pleased with the quality of the work. They take pride in everything they do and customer satisfaction which I appreciate. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for any project and recommend them highly.

I recommend Allshire highly and without reservation. Russ, John, and all their crews were professional and we felt comfortable throughout the process. Our bathroom was fully gutted and rebuilt (with same footprint) - the end result was fantastic and I believe the value was very high. Just to make others aware - we had a fair amount of back and forth with the inspectors from our township and had several hardware items delivered to our house that were broken so they had to be re-ordered - so job took longer than we (and Allshire) expected. That said, the company has many positive attributes: 1) communication is solid 2) attitude is positive and professional 3) final workmanship very high 4) pricing very reasonable 5) overall demeanor is friendly and flexible which is what we wanted. We will call them again when we get ready to remodel our kitchen. Allshire is a good company because it is made of good people.

We couldn't be happier with our experience with Allshire during our bathroom renovation. Overall they were experienced, efficient and courteous each step of the way. They were incredibly professional and came with a large team of courteous and experienced professionals which made our project go quickly and smoothly. Russ and his team were available and communicative throughout the process. We felt comfortable with every member of the team being in our home. They were respectful of our home and left the place in better shape than when they found it. The project was completed ahead of schedule and the quality was far superior to the work we had done by other professionals. Its clear from the quality of the work and renovation experience that this is an experienced, well run team. We would definitely recommend Allshire to others looking for a contractor and will use them again for future projects.

I loved the way they modeled my bathroom

Allshire Building were just what I was looking for. Russ, John and staff were courteous, efficient and professional. Due to the age and size of my house, my orders had to be custom made. They had to install a barn door for my bathroom and a bedroom door. I will be using them for future projects. It was refreshing to deal with the business owners who actually care about their customers/ clients.

I am thoroughly delighted with Allshire Building. They were exactly the type of company I wanted for my bathroom renovation project. The people are professional and the work is top notch quality. Because I did the demolition and redesign myself, it took me months to find a company I wanted to work with on my bathroom renovation. Some builders tried to simplify my design or required I source product only from their vendors. Others provided exorbitant quotes. With Allshire, the partnership was ideal. We collaborated on my design and made adjustments to improve functionality. Allshire sourced materials from the vendors of product I selected. The company spent hours searching for doors and shower glass of the style I wanted. They went the extra mile to find quartz for the shower that matched the vanity. We even visited a Kohler showroom together to select the shower fixtures and settle on a controller configuration. Every Allshire member I met was courteous and professional. I felt so comfortable with this team, that I trusted my home to their care when I left for an appointment during the day. I have never before had this level of trust with a company. When I hired Allshire Building, I wanted a company that would work collaboratively with me on my project. I am delighted that is exactly what I got. Allshire will be my first call when I am ready to begin my next project.

The initial meeting, quote, and timeframe given was all positive and without issue. Once the 2 workers arrived with the most of the doors, they installed them but they were not painted ahead of time. They even asked us for the color we wanted prior to delivery so they could paint them before installation. Nope! The workers, who are most likely only installers and not skilled in painting, proceeded to start painting the doors after they were hung. Even with windows open, my house stunk. And the doors looked horrible - drip marks, uneven coating, and unsmooth areas that should have been sanded prior to painting. Not to mention they hung a damaged door in one bathroom and the two closet doors (once they finally showed up) were hung unevenly and could not be closed completely. It was a disaster! So we asked Russ (the owner, I think) to have his crew come out again to fix the problems. I made a list of what we were unhappy with, gave it to the group (now 3 people) and it was met with laughter...I am sure they thought I did not hear their whispers. Guy corrected the paint, but since he was dressed like he was about to go out for a night with the boys, he accomplished exactly what we expected...Nothing. I will give them credit, they did rehang the closet doors so now all the doors actually shut. They might be a little crooked, but they shut. As for the paint, some sanding was done and touch ups to brush marks, but they are still sad to look at. I have before and after (2nd and 3rd visits) video and pictures so I dare Russ or any of his boys to challenge me on any word I have written. So once we again contacted Russ to address our lack of satisfaction with this job, we were met with something like well now you are just taking advantage of me. It was obvious he looked at us as high maintenance and all we wanted was a job done right. Perhaps since he would already discounted the job by 50% he felt entitled to allow crappy work. He was awful to work with once the work actually started and we just gave up. Eventually we will take down the doors ourselves and sand and spray them as it should have been done to begin with. Tread lightly with this company!

I had a wonderful experience working with Russ, John and the rest of the stuff at AllShire. They were exceedingly professional, courteous, efficient and they started and completely the job when they said they would. Excellent job and very competitively priced. I am a customer for life!
