They gave a price, loaded the truck then upped the price. They upped the price before delivery. They essentially tripled the price while they had us by the gonads!

I would give zero stars if I could. These guys are shady at best and criminal at worst. I paid $7000+ for my move and they damaged so many things. Some of the things had to be intentional because they actually used brown tape to tape a busted dining room chair so that I would not see it. They did well in excess of $10,000 damage. I would have been better off giving everything away before my move and using the $7000+ that I paid them to buy new stuff. Ed, one of the owners, is rude and unprofessional. He will yell and curse at you if you question anything. I thought that the .60cents per pound that was in the contract was what they would pay for items that they damaged but think again. They use a 3rd party company for claims and after providing clear and detailed documentation including over 50 photos of the damage, they offered my $110 for "my troubles because they value me as a customer". Such BS. BEWARE AND PLAN ON HAVING YOUR STUFF DAMAGED IF YOU DECIDE TO USE THIS SHADY COMPANY. I have a lawyer now that is costing me more money to try and collect on what they contractually owe me for the damages they did. ** If you were unlucky enough to sign a contract with them, DO NOT let the driver leave your house when they deliver until you have inspected EVERYTHING. They will tell you that you did not notify them upon delivery and the driver will likely say he has to go for one reason or another and try to leave quickly so that nothing is documented upon delivery.

My boyfriend and I hired Allstate to move our things at the end of June. We were told it would take 7-14 business days and were not warned that the contract gives them wiggle room to take up to 21 business days, after which they will refund you a mere $30 per day until your belongings arrive. While this alone is not illegal, it is dishonest and unprofessional. And it is now July 30 and our things have not even left the warehouse yet, so we do not expect to see them anytime soon. Everything we own is on that truck, including our beds (we have been sleeping on air mattresses for over a month and do not have enough clothes for work), and customer service is impossible to get in touch with. When we are able to make contact they gaslight and lie to us. The contract clearly states that Allstate has 21 business days or 30 days before they owe $30 per day, and as both deadlines have passed we emailed to inquire about the status of our shipment. Natalie responded that Allstate has 30 business days before they owe us money, which is a boldfaced lies 21 business days and she knows that), and offered us no further updates as to the whereabouts of our belongings. If you are moving and want to see your belongings ever again I recommend finding another moving company. The childish, unprofessional responses from Allstate to all the other negative reviews on here speak for themselves.

It has been a nightmare since day one. We still have not received our truckload of home items including our Harley. Every call we make either hoes to voice-mail or gets dropped. Natalie does nothing but talks on circles. Brandon only sold unkept promises like he would be with us every step of the way. We NEVER HEARD FROM HIM SINCE THE SALE! he won't return any calls or emails. We were told that our truck is delayed indefinitely due to covid.or shortage of drivers. They keep saying "refer to the contract". There has not been any promises keep since the first call. They even loaded the truck short of the Harley and a few items then said we were over limit? Then charged us another 1800.00!!! I'd never recommend this company. Talking to the Attorney General today to get help. This company should be our of business. Moving is stressful enough but to have your whole household held in limbo is beyond anything stressful you could imagine. We have no idea where our stuff is even. Nightmare that keeps on going.

The office staff are very easy people to work with, and I found them supposedly very helpful, however, I have not had any experience with professional moving companies before. I had a few very damaged boxes (broken items), at least one or two boxes missing and the top of my sewing machine needs some repair (must have had too heavy of something on top of it). None of which I was too upset over because the rest of the load and my belongings were seemly fine, and I also did not know that I was going to file a claim, so I did not have pictures of these things. On the day of the move, we had carefully rolled an 8 X 10-foot carpet and pad and shrink wrapped it carefully. I asked the movers if there was anything else I needed to do with it and they said no, they would take care of it. When the carpet and pad arrived at the destination they had been folded in two and shrink-wrapped tightly. I did not think too much of it at the time, not knowing much about moving to carpet and I was going to take it to get resized smaller for a smaller room. When taking it to a carpet resizer, he asked why was it folded in half? I had no answer since I did not do it. He said it should have never been folded over, but he would try to get the creases out of it that he knew would be in it and cut it down to size. He could not do it, and the carpet is unusable and the pad was torn and very dirty. This was an 8-month-old carpet and pad that I only walked on costing over $500. I decided to file a claim, realizing I only had 06 a pound value on each item, and probably, I would recover not even close to the value. But this was negligence not just happenstance damage. Professional Movers should definitely know that you do not fold the carpet in half or another way. So there has been a claim submitted since August 11, 2020, and it is the end of December. No decision, despite me continuing to question the company about the end result. I have a damaged roll of carpet and a damaged roll of pad sitting next to my front door. It has been there since June. That is the only place I can keep it out of the weather. The insurance company demands I keep it until the claim is settled. The HOA is not happy with me and I have to keep dealing with them. What is so hard about settling this. I do not usually give bad reviews because it is negative energy and happens, but be aware, be very aware.

I hired this company to move my furniture and boxes from CA to FL, and they managed to get almost every step wrong: After giving them an accurate inventory of my furniture, and measurements of my boxes, they underestimated the cubic footage of my stuff by almost 20%, and then charged me for the difference after they packed the truck When I attempted to get delivery status updates they would not respond to my texts or email, and they wouldnt pick up my phone calls. They took 5 weeks (!!!!) to deliver my stuff, even though they had said that they had shipments going out every 15 days. When the movers arrived at the destination, they let in a mouse into my apartment. I dont know if the mouse came in in one of the boxes, or if it entered through the door while they were moving stuff in. The movers left a bunch of wrapping material outside my door that they didnt dispose of, or tell me about. They told me that they couldnt get my bed upstairs because it wouldnt fit through the staircase. I later inspected the bed and it comes apart very easily with an allen wrench, but they didnt bother to do that. Needless to say, I will NEVER hire this company again.
Response from Allstate Moving, LLC
"They let a mouse into your apartment? Starting to sound off. Sounds like you are a slightly angry person. You told the crew to leave the bed alone and you would handle it. You provided the moving company with your ever-changing list of items you were going to move or not move, which you added your own amount to the list."

Copy and pasted from BBB complaint we just submitted: **My wife and I hired Allstate to move our belongings from California to Montana. They picked up our belongings on June 29, 2020. Even though they charged us more on our move date than our estimate, we thought we would be in the clear after that. They gave us a guarantee that our belongings would be delivered within 21 business days, which would be July 28, 2020. That mark came and went. Our stuff was finally delivered on August 19, 2020. This was 22 days after our agreement. There is a clause in our contract that the movers owe us $30 per day that our stuff was not delivered. We have tried to get in touch with customer service multiple times, but they just keep saying **standby** and they need to get in touch with someone else. We have been waiting for over a month and a half at this point, and they are still refusing to either send us a check or give us a date when they will be sending it.**
Response from Allstate Moving, LLC
"You received your items on the 22nd day because the State of Montana wanted your items quarantined. Pandemic? Does that ring a bell? I am glad you got your furniture and your Health. Happy Trails."

My recommendation is qualified. I have had better moving experiences and worse experiences. Although we paid for the platinum pack service, several items they packed were broken or lost and other items, including furniture, were broken or damaged -- altogether totaling a few thousand dollars. Although I sent Allstate a detailed letter with pictures and followed up to discuss compensation, I have heard nothing back from them. Communication was occasionally a problem. For example, although we asked a few times when we might expect delivery, it was not until the afternoon before delivery were we told it would be the next morning. Dealing with many Allstate representatives was pleasurable, including hiring them on the phone and the packing crew, which worked quickly and efficiently (but unfortunately they did not mark all of the boxes so they had to be unpacked to see which rooms they should be placed in). However, the delivery crew initially was not helpful nor easy to work with, but improved during the day because my initial concerns communicated to the office were quickly responded to. Altogether a mixed experience which could have been largely remedied by their being responsive to my letter and showing concern about the damage to some of our items.

I moved from California to Texas with Allstate in April. Allstate lost four boxes of my possessions. They have never found them despite it being five months later. I do not believe they ever really tried to find them. Their systems are antiquated and all liability is on you to manually count every piece that goes on a truck and gets unloaded. I took the normal insurance. Posted a review in early July and they called me to offer me money to take the review down. I did not return the call but I did keep voice mails and texts on this that Sarah left. Why would a company offer to pay someone to take a review down? Very unethical. I continued through the claim process. They valued 4 boxes of my lifelong possessions at Forty-Five Dollars. Forty-Five dollars did not pay for one item in those boxes. Be very aware that these people are wrongdoers. Be very very careful. Do not pack anything in large Tupperware storage bins as those will be LOST too. The service when signing up was fantastic. That changes the minute they arrive at your house. Amir had not been in my house for more than 3 minutes before he started blaming sales for underquoting the price. I told Amir I felt bad that he had to ask someone for $1400 MORE than what was quoted and he looked me in the eye and said it was not hard at all, that he has that conversation with every single move he does. Be warned. At the other end in Texas, it is not an Allstate employee. It is an independent contractor. He texted me several times with a very terse note that he needed CASH ONLY remaining payment. He stood over me to sign the papers at the end of the drop-off. I signed them. I had no idea that 4 boxes were missing. There is no electronic system that Allstate uses. You need to manually count and take inventory of every piece. I did not do this for the 94 pieces they moved for me. (Who would?) I filed an insurance claim but no dollar amount will make up for my 4 boxes of treasured possessions. Sarah was a customer service person. Her standard response is that she will check. Her boss is Ivan. I have still never received a call back from either of them to tell me about their calls with the other two families whose belongings were on the same truck with mine. I am so disappointed in Allstate they are an unethical organization.
Response from Allstate Moving, LLC
"Thanks for your detailed summary. Sounds like those 4 boxes were misplaced. It happens. My apologies."

Never again. First of, my table arrived badly damaged. Then, when they reassembled, it it was still wobbly because they didn t tighten some screws. Secondly, my (very expensive) vacuum cleaner never made it. I had to buy a new one. They wore their dirty shoes around the house. It was a rainy day - I had to clean up after. I did file a claim for the damage/loss but I am yet to receive any resolution. The entire claims process is convoluted, takes forever, and gets you nowhere close to matching your loss. STAY AWAY. They are quick to take your money.
Response from Allstate Moving, LLC
"Thanks for your input, Charles. Your wobbly table was fixed. Thanks for tightening the screws! Cleaning up after a rainy day move is expected but thanks. Finally, your Vacum Cleaner stayed behind because you wanted to use it to clean up with. Nice try. Happy trails Charles."

I did not realize my goods would be transferred to another truck, in that process a number of the goods that the guys packed were damaged. Still working with them on getting this all resolved. I was requested to pay $600 upon delivery because of my long driveway which did not compute to their rate on the agreement. I felt I needed to pay it so I could get my goods when I asked the delivery guy how did he get to that number he could not tell me I waited and asked the Allstate Team for a breakdown on why $600 I got back a response that I would receive $400 back (which I did) I learned a lot, and recommend reading Smart Moves: How To Save Time and Money While Transitioning Your Home and Life there are a few chapters on movers and packing that I wished I would have read thoroughly before engaging with Allstate or any other moving company.
Response from Allstate Moving, LLC
"Thanks Erika, your contract clearly reads that "you wil be delivered in a Full sized 52 ft truck" we pick up in 28 foot trucks for safety and ease of access. Further you were refunded as you stated just to make you happy. Thanks for your awesome input. Edward."

Totally dishonest. They play this gaslighting game, and they are practiced at it. They willl give a quote and say it is for everything you asked for and then when the movers arrive, and they start charging you extra for things you understood were in the contract, they gaslight. *We are charging you for packing because packing was not in the contract. Pull up the contract. Does it say packing?* No. *Then you are going to have to pay* My response, *We agreed on full packing* Allstate, *Have you packed any boxes?* Me, *yes.* Allstate, *Then you obviously did ont discuss packing with us because you are packing your own boxes.* This happened twice with the manager a *coast guard vet,* maybe Ed, and Michael. Their responses were identical word/ word obviously a shtick. Their gaslighting was rehearsed. So I tried to cancel the move at the door, because I know what was discussed was not in the contract, which they blamed me for not reading. So, they threatened to put a lien on my house I was moving out of in California and the house I was moving into in Wyoming. And they threatened to sue. They told me not only would they sue but that I would have to go up to Kirkland Washington for the lawsuit because that it is where they are located. So, after all the lies, I let them move me. The movers got to home three days after promised and again they said *read the contract, we can take up to 21 days.* While moving my stuff they dropped two items and broke them. They left the hardware for my carport in California, so they could not put it together, and they promise, *everything will be assembled as it was.* two other items were not assembled at all.
Response from Allstate Moving, LLC
"David thanks for your input. Allow me to me address some of the issues you have raised. 1. Always read your contract. Common Sense! 2. Packing was not included in your move. 3. We moved you 1200 miles door to door in 3 days! 4. You told us not to assemble two shelves in the garage because they go into a shed you haven't purchased for your new home. 5. Be honest it is easier. Everything you said is true, however it doen't reflect your role in the move. You thouht you get packing for free. When you could not you tried to back out of your contract the day of your move. Very dishonest, when that didn't work you filed this false complant in attempt to get something for free. Forget it. Best wishes."

I hired this company to move and store my furniture until we were ready to accept in NV. I was assured by Edward they had good insurance - come to find out we had .60 cents per pound. Office girls were good to work with. Upon received my furniture, we had legs broken off ottoman, chairs, sofa, dining room chair, an end table totally broken at the base and table-top came right off. Broken glass, artificial plants totally smashed. Family heirloom quilt holder the leg broken off, and they took the piece of wood with them!! So many items broken and furniture corners broken or rubbed to bare wood. All these items were less than 24 months old. Now I have to file an insurance claim that will take hours to complete and in the end with .60 per lb will get nothing to replace, fix or replace. Be Careful, Beware of this company - read everything before you sign.
Response from Allstate Moving, LLC

BEWARE. liars Complaint Details I was asked when the mover was packing if I had anything valuable. It made me really uncomfortable. Long story short, the box with my jewelry box was clearly opened then resealed. I am missing several sterling silvers rings (there are clearly gaps in the ring holder that were not there) as well as a 1200.00 white gold and diamond ring. Unacceptable. BBB cannot do anything. It has to be a police report. They will never be able to find the jewelry. It is probably already pawned.

Brad was a very good salesman for the company and their estimate was quite in line with others I had received. However, my move date was the last week of March and had to be cancelled re COVID-19. California is in "shelter-in-home" status for the month of April. I have tentatively set 5/20/2020 for my move. I rated them highly (they were required questions) because they have been helpful and accommodating regarding my third change in moving dates. My most recent email correspondence has been with Bob and he, like Brad, is very personable and very accommodating.

This was the worst moving experience I've ever had. Had multiple issues. When I brought the to the attention of the company the general manager, Edward (Ed), was the most rude person I've had to deal with in a long time. He eventually started cussing at me to the point of calling me a f*** boy and refusing to let me speak to any other customer service representatives. He would not let other employees answer the phone so he could answer and harass me. He would even call me on his own to harass me more. He even threatened to send my things back to California knowing I was already living and waiting in Washington. Company has taken 0 steps to rectify this situation.
Response from Allstate Moving, LLC
"Thanks for your business. Please be aware that you although, a valued client, were verbally abusive to each person who handled your move. Ken, Sarah, Hillary, Brad and J.P. all refused to talk to you only after your use of vulgar language. These are employees at a company you hired to move your furniture. That does not give you the right to speak to these people in that manner. Your move was completed without a hitch. F.Y.I. This move was completed in November. Move on please and may happiness find you some day."

This company did not communicate with the movers, who were then not fully apprised of our needs. We barely got out of the home we had sold in time. They were rude, disinterested in customer service, and non-communicative. To make matters very exceptionally worse, jewelry was stolen from us at about $900 worth. Jewelry that was not by any means the crown jewels, but so important to us. Their response... **Who would put jewelry in a moving truck?** My response, who would put anything of value from our home, which to us is ALL of our items, in your moving truck. Such a bad company. Check out the Better Business Bureau (which they are not enrolled), there were complaints listed there which are now not showing up. Beware of this company. I had to give them .5 stars but would give them a resounding zero stars if that were possible. Beware, beware, beware. And, since this is on their site, I am sure it will not be listed, but I am taking every opportunity to let everyone know, via my friends, family, internet reviews, etc., etc., etc. I will also write a letter to this place, but from experience, expect nothing.
Response from Allstate Moving, LLC
"Rob your jewelry box is in your storage unit where you instructed the foreman to put it. When you were informed of that fact, you responded ,"Oh, well I am not going to get it for months." This attempt to collect money after a successful move is misguided at best. We wish you the best."
