They cheated me and charged me $745 10 months later for work I previously paid for the year before. Do not trust them with your credit card.

They made it easy to have my home painted. Also helped me decide on a color -- they purchased sample colors of our narrowed down list and painted large swaths of the house so I could compare colors. Very professional AND personable. A good experience.

Ugh! Where to start? It was a cluster from the beginning. Met with Jay and ended up hiring Alpha to paint two bathrooms (one needed to be ready in a weekâ ¦ all other work was NOT urgent), a hallway and living room. In addition, they were to repair one stair on the main staircase and install new balusters on the existing banister. Jay also suggested that I tear out the drawers in the downstairs hallway and install a linen closet with door assuring me that he had an experienced carpenter available to do the job, sounded like a good idea so, I included that in the project. Speed forward to the first day, six guys show up promptly at 9:00 a.m. and immediately began to dismantle both bathrooms and tear out the drawers in the hallway piling all the debris in my driveway. They were running around like the Keystone Cops. Second day, two guys show up at 10:00 a.m. along with one of their â carpentersâ and began sanding and spray painting in the house without putting up protective barriers. I had to run around covering up everything! Meanwhile, their â carpenterâ is busy stapling shelf supports directly into the drywall, slinging mud everywhere, getting it all over my hardwood floors, and installing a vent in the floor of the closet (which is against code). I tried to tell him it was against code, and he would have to frame the vent into the wall, but he didnâ t understand me. How do you work as a carpenter for a construction company and NOT know some code? He then began â splicingâ pieces of wood together for the shelves. He literally nailed a piece of wood into two to make one. He had shelves of all sizes and none of them fit properly. Third day, no one shows up at all so, I text Jay and am told that they had an â emergencyâ OSHA class that they all had to attend but he assured me that a crew would be there in the morning. Seriously? You stop work for the day to attend a class? I knew that was a lieâ ¦ one of many Jay has told to customers, and potential customers, Iâ m sure. The fourth day one guy shows up at 11:00 and works well into the night, robbing me of my Saturday, leaving a big mess and both toilets sealed shut with plastic. I only have two bathrooms so, I had to break into one. Speed forward to last Thursday, I text Jay at about 10:00 a.m. to find out if a crew would be here, as promised, and what time. Jay told me that a â crewâ would be there within the hour. Two hours later one guy shows up and starts running in and out of my house for no apparent reason. When he comes back in, I ask if heâ s waiting for others to join him, and he says noâ ¦ not todayâ ¦ painting tomorrow. I then start dropping F-bombs like crazy and I let him know that they will finish both bathrooms today and take the garbage out of my driveway (the same garbage thatâ s been there since day one). He got on the phone and managed to get two other guys to join him (two hours later). They worked well into the night but that was okay because I was determined to get something out of this debacleâ ¦ two bathrooms, finished to my satisfaction! The next day, I text Jay to let him know that they were no longer welcome at my house. Iâ m so glad I fired them before I gave them any real money! Jay talks a good game but canâ t deliver to save his life. The painters have talent but are mismanaged and ill-informed. I feel bad for them. I was able to hire a carpenter to redo the closet. He completed the work in two days and didnâ t cut corners like these clowns. Stay away from this circus!! Do not hire them.

DO NOT HIRE! Alpha Contarctors LLC do not have a legitimate mailing or business address, listing the Post Office at the Portland Airport as their official business address. Jay and Francisco misled us on their abilities and experience for what was supposed to be a half bath addition and full bath remodel. The Alpha crew had to redo almost every single aspect of the work they did from trenching to electrical to plumbing to paint, as they failed time and again to be able to accomplish the work as promised. What was supposed to be a 6-8 week project stretched to over six months and we had to fire them before the project was completed. I could go on and on at the lack of professionalism shown by this company throughout our experience with them. We are sitting here the weekend of Christmas with frozen pipes and no water to the half bath extension they did as their team did not insulate the new pipes added to the exterior wall properly.

They are not professional enough to follow up with their clients about the time and when they are going to finish the work, they do not answer my calls or update me about what is happening with the project.

My business partner and I are owners of a 74,000 SQFT building out in Downtown Portland and were in desperate need of an exterior paint job given the busy season is approaching, I was recommended to give Alpha a call by a friend who is franchise manager for Les Schwabs since Alpha had also painted their exterior building.... I went ahead and gave Jay a call and he quickly scheduled a convenient time to estimate our project. Jay's estimate was worth every penny and also very very competitive. He included a warranty as well as used top notch paint according to the exterior siding from our monster building. The crew was very respectful and professional throughout the whole process but what really meant the most was the attention and detail they gave us. The whole project lasted two weeks from complete to finish and made sure to perfect every detail. Since the COVID 19 situation came up we were a little uncertain of what would happen but they maintained work AND even took every step necessary to follow sanitary rules. Crews wore masks, gloves, and maintained distances from us when exiting buildings. BEST TEAM EVER!!!!! THEY MADE IT SO COMFORTABLE FOR US AND MY EMPLOYEES! Jay would always be in contact with me and maintain me updated. My partner and I were having trouble choosing colors so Jay went ahead and assigned us a color consultant for FREE which helped us a ton. You really do get more than just paint with Alpha, its the overall service and experience they offer which is optimal for someone like me. I will continue to use Alpha for many years to come and am beyond grateful to have stumbled on them! GO ALPHA!!!

My husband, Don, and I couldn't be more pleased with Francisco and his crew at Alpha Contractors. From the first time we spoke, we always had great communication with each other and there was never a time that they didn't call me back if I had called a left a message to ask a question. That meant a lot to us. Price was also very reasonable (received other quotes but none offered the whole package Alpha did) The work they performed in record time; both painting and construction, was top notch. Our house is the talk of the neighborhood! We've already had some of our neighbors ask who painted our house so our HOA's commitee placed them on our announcement board so our neighborhood could get a direct line. They were always so humble and content to work, truly more than 'just a painting company". They take care of all your needs and make sure to go the extra mile.... I can't tell you how many times I was an annoying customer (yes I realize I'm picky) but they always came with quality. I'm beyoooooooooooond impressed by Alpha and am planning to rehire for our sons remodel project in July. Thank you again! We appreciate you guys more than you'll ever know.

After meeting with 3 painters (and 1 that never showed up), I choose Jay @ Alpha Contractors for our house. He showed up on time, had all his information together and emailed me a quote that night. I had additional questions and needed to show him what I was talking about on the house. He made another appointment to come back to the house and came out one night after working all day. He was energetic and passionate about his field of work, He coached me about my concerns and gave me all the information I needed to make my choice. I paid my deposit on the spot and we moved forward. Jay was also able to give me some color ideas and supplied samples we were able to try out prior to picking our final colors. Our house turned out AMAZING,, it was to the point the neighbors were stopping on the street to check it out. The crew worked methodically, everyone had their job and worked together as a team. Our house was completed on time and exactly as Jay indicated. Canâ t wait to start on the inside project and knowing I only have to make 1 call to someone I can depend and does quality work on is a big relief! Thank you to Alpha's team! Jay's crew painted the outside of our home in July of 2015. The initial contact and communication was very professional and personable. He was very knowledgeable regarding the best paint and application techniques for our local climate and the type of siding on our home. His communications skills are excellent. He does not come on in an aggressive manner and does not make you feel pressured or overwhelmed. He really cares about his work and is meticulous about preparation and cleanup as well as the actual painting. After 5 years the finish and color continues to look great. ALPHA is a highly skilled paint company and we recommend Francisco & Jay for all of your painting needs. We made a mistake of using a word of a facebook friend, and the painter 'Destroyed' our home. Francisco came out, helped calm our nerves and gave us a competitive bid and was very professional throughout the entire process. He followed through on the deadline without 'ANY' hiccups. Our home looks amazing and we definitely appreciate your teams hard work. He's our lifetime painter now!! THANK YOU!!!!!!

From the beginning to the end of my home project, these gentleman were nothing but professional. We set down and talked about what my wife and I wanted in our new paint in our home. We built a new home three years ago, and had â friend of a friendâ initially paint the interior of our home. We initially loved it, but started to see flaws over the last year. We also recently finished our basement. Jay and his team came in and delivered beyond expectations. Without a doubt I would highly recommend.

I've been calling wrong phone number so please ignore haha but Alpha Contractors did an amzing job on my interior/exterior remodel as well as provided me with tile work in garage after husband messed up last job.

Pros: Their salesperson (Juan who is no longer with them) was very pleasant to work with. The crew arrived on time, worked quickly and cleaned up afterward. Cons: The first day they arrived they started masking the exterior of the house for paint, but they did not bring a pressure washer to clean the siding first before painting (as they stated they would in their bid). After we mentioned this they took down all the masking and returned the next day with a pressure washer. We have contacted them 7 times over the past 12 months to come back for touch ups, and they never show up. They did a decent job with the initial painting but it seems that their 3-year warranty does not mean much unfortunately.

We hired Alpha Contractors to perform interior painting of several main level rooms in our home including full kitchen and bathroom, windows, doors, fireplaces and ceilings and stairwell. It also included installing drywall and millwork/trim along floor bases, around kitchen cabinets & bedroom windows. We communicated with Jay who seemed professional, courteous and knowledgeable about the type of work we needed done, and eager to take on our project. He boasted about the work experience of his company with high-end clientele to assure they did quality work. He promptly provided a detailed bid w/full scope of work, to include a checklist of surface/wall preparation, masking/filling/spackling, using drop cloths over exposed areas, cutting in room for uniformity, applying 2 coats, work area protection, touch ups, and clean up. We had a short window to get this project done, and Jay had an opening in his schedule to do the work in the timeframe we needed, so we accepted his proposal. The first day of work, Jay did not show up (due emergency), but two men from his crew came and initially masked/taped light switches and outlets, door handles, but no drop cloths were applied over exposed areas, just tearable paper material which was taped to surfaces & wood floors. Hardly enough spackling was done for wall repair or sanding. The ceiling paint was sprayed on instead of hand-rolled, and none of my granite countertops in the kitchen were covered as promised. Drops of paint including overspray were found on the counters, light fixtures, appliances, and tile floor (we had to have things professionally cleaned after). More appalling was catching one of the painters standing on the granite countertop while painting a soffit. Who does that! Nor was the sink covered, and we noticed one of the guys washing out his drywall and plaster materials in the sink of over a few dishes left in the sink. Also, hundreds of nails were left on the floor in our kid's bedroom and other areas where millwork was done (jeopardizing safety for our kids and pets). Painted doors showed noticeable drip lines (which they had to go back and re-do) and none of the door jams were painted. Who doesn't include door jams with the doors? Stairwell was haphazardly painted-because they removed the only light in the area and painted in the dark. In the bathroom, the wall adjacent the vanity was half painted. They did not counter-sink, sand, caulk or properly prime the trim around the bathroom windows before painting. Fireplaces were not caulked/primed prior to painting so there's gaps along the edges and the red brick show under areas of paint. BOTTOMLINE: The job was rushed, inconsistent, sloppy, unprofessional-not the quality work we expected. When expressing these concerns to Jay, he said his crew were seasoned painters with many plus years experience, and would try to make things right-- they were in a hurry to get back to their other project and said they would come back and fix their mistakes, but they never came back. Jay talked a good sales pitch, made us believe that he and his crew were capable, skilled and professionals enough to do a pristine job â so why should we expect anything less especially since he promoted the best by the basis of Alpha Contractors high reputability with current/past high-end/high-profile clientele. They did not meet our expectations nor will we ever use them again.

Painted the newly installed shelving, drawers & fireplace surround in the Great Room. Prepped - painted and left the new fireplace looking gorgeous! It went perfect!!! This is about the 4th time we've hired Jay (Alpha Contractors) to pain in our 3-story rowhome. As always, no matter how small or large the job (and we've given Jay BOTH), the work, expertise, cost, professionalism and total package is outstanding! Work was viewed, bid, accomplished and reviewed in a timely manner. You cannot go wrong using Alpha! Even our referrals (about 6-7 so far) have agreed given he provides amazing prices with referrers. They took care of what I needed afterwards and I am beyond impressed with this company and its ability to repair issues. GREAT TEAM all around. Hard working people and respectful. Job was completed to and above my standard. Excited to hire them for my spring project. THANKS! :X

Alpha Contractors came out to install cabinets and remodel my homes interior entirely which entailed tile, flooring, painting, and so much more.... Jay and Francisco were very attentive and took care of my every need with the help of every one on the team. They worked efficiently and really delivered QUALITY work ABOVE ALL. In here longs hours and days, including holidays... I would recommend Alpha for anyone looking to remodel affordably but always count on quality.

Communication was very bad. House being painted at end of summer, and I had to try getting in touch to find out when work would be done in dry weather periods. Tried to get paid at end when items agreed upon in contract not done. Left nails in driveway after replacing fascia board, Nice people and did a decent job, just not user friendly,

Interior painting & exterior stucco painting! This is my second experience with Alpha Contractors. As before, great work done exactly as agreed. Very patient and easy to deal with, even when I added on things, or needed flexibility for the carpet layers, and so forth. His pricing seems fair to me and the outcome is quite beautiful. Highly recommend if your looking for a great deal at a very high quality standard. Don't look any further, after years of searching this is my go to contractor.

I've been delinquent in waiting so long to post this review. Jay and his crew at Alpha did a fabulous job painting the exterior of our 3,300 sq ft home in Portland. Jay,picks up his phone when you call and communicates very well. He's very pleasant to deal with he stands by his work. After coming in to do a few touch ups he said "please let us know if there's anything else you need touched up." Everyone that has seen our house since it was painted has commented on the quality work and attention to detail. Alpha is the best as far as quality work with attention to detail I would absolutely recommend them. (Our HOA in Mt Vista also recommended them given they've done over a dozen homes in our neighborhood in the last few years. The exterior paint jobs he does are beautiful ;)

First off let me say if Home Advisor allowed me to give more stars I would give 200!! Starting with the messaging process. Jay answered the home advisor message within the hour and scheduled the free estimate to assess the scope of the project. We wanted the foyer, living room, dining room, and kitchen done since our house is an extremely open floor plan. His price came under two other painters I had come for an estimate. We wanted to turn an ugly blue/green living room wall into something warmer. We also had very bland tan throughout the house that the previous owners threw on before selling the house. Jay went over colors and accents that would look and feel best. He then explained the whole process, how he operates, how many days it was going to take (3) and what was expected of us. After we booked him for the job he was in communication with us. On Day 1, he arrived promptly with all of his supplies ...lol. He was extremely careful to tape over all borders, the mantle, and door frames. He also used heavy duty drop cloths on the floor and plastic sheeting to cover the furniture. He even took off all light switch plates and cleaned them!! The last 2 days were perfect. He again arrived promptly at 7 a.m.and stayed late on day 2 because he was adjusting how to finish within the quoted 3 day time frame. On day 3, he finished a little early so he was able to double and triple check the whole project. If there was something he didn't like, he went over it again. Did I mention he was a perfectionist? Bottom line is that we love the new color with the alcove accents and we will be hiring him again to paint our master bedroom and possibly the guest bedroom as well. Would DEFINITELY recommend!! A++
