Alpha provided the lowest bid by far on our sewer line repair job (bursting of 70+ year old orangeburg and replacement with new line). They were able to begin and complete the work very quickly, did an excellent job, and were very helpful and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend them.

The office people, technicians, and manager were friendly, hard working, and conscientious. They put us at ease that the asbestos glue in our basement was abated correctly and completely. Everyone was professional, and made sure we were satisfied with the results of the project. We can feel confident that our home is asbestos free, and we have documentation for future buyers.

Chris was absolutely no help what so ever- this company was called to come in and test the attic mold for toxins for a $150.00 fee, I had explained to Jennifer our house is in closing and needed the test completed and verified the mold is dead and treated appropriately. We received a quote for $875.00 to come back to spray and treat (no test to even see what they are dealing with) my husband called and asked what did he do for $150.00? Chris states this is for my time. To what tell us we have mold in the attic, the inspector already did that part. I am very unhappy with their service and do NOT recommend them!

"We appreciate your feedback as we are always striving to provide the best customer service possible. To my knowledge arriving on site, and which I later confirmed with the office, no physical mold tests were ordered, although I am always prepared to collect samples if requested. What was requested was confirmation that the mold identified in the attic by a home inspector was successfully treated by the home owner. My conclusion was, even though I did not doubt the attic had been sprayed, I could not guarantee the mold would not return at some point. The basis for my conclusion is the attic ventilation is not adequate, and the roof sheathing was not encapsulated. Testing the mold would not change my opinion on this matter. I spoke with the client on the phone regarding this matter. Alpha Environmental provides free estimates in the greater Portland area, though when an inspection is requested, there is a $150 fee. If an estimate is produced to remediate a mold issue, we deduct the inspection fee from the remediation cost if the work is accepted. This was also discussed with the client."

This review is for a sewer excavation job, but that isn't available from the dropdown menu. Do not trust their quotes at all. They quoted me for a job and told me they had applied for a permit. When I contacted them again, they admitted they had lied about that being done. I should have quit then, but I agreed to still have the work done in exchange for a pittance of a discount. They left me a voicemail in the middle of the job saying there 'might be a slope problem'. I asked the workers on site who were measuring things if there was going to be a problem, and they assured me it would be fine. The work failed the city inspection, and now they tell me that they will have to trench to the middle of the street to fix the problem. Do not hire this company. They are entirely untrustworthy, and will do shoddy work in order to charge you thousands more for their 'fix'. They also caused lots of damage to my yard AND my neighbor's property while running equipment. No consideration for property or honesty.
