All Pro Garage Doors

I hired this company to replace my garage door springs on 6-1-2020. The gentleman that initially came out was kind and stated that he was new, therefore, he had to consult with the boss prior to replacing my garage door springs. I was quoted a cost of $220.00 but it turned into $340.00 after all was said and done. I had double springs on my 16 ft garage doors, but the boss insisted that my double garage door springs be replaced with a larger spring that cost more than the two springs that I had. While replacing the spring he stated that my drums/pulleys also needed to be replaced and charged me $89.95 and did not allow me to see the old pulleys. He went to his truck and came back with some pulleys that did not look new to me. I served 20 years in the Army as a mechanic and know that anytime you replace a part, you always show it to the customer and explain why it was replaced, but apparently this guy did not think that was necessary. All mechanics that I have dealt with since leaving the Army ask if I wanted the old parts. Anyway, they changed the springs but a few days later I noticed that the garage door was binding because one side was higher than the other. So, I called this company and the boss told me that he would be out that afternoon but never showed up. The next day, the new employee showed up to see what was going on, but again he had to consult with the boss. The boss stopped by later that day and made the adjustments to the door to my satisfaction. A week passed and again I noticed that the garage door was binding because one side was higher than the other again. I called the company again and explained what was going on with the boss. The boss stated that he would be by to adjust the door that afternoon, but failed to show up. He did not even call nor did he show up the next day. I went ahead and called the Overhead Garage Door Company of Columbus and they came right out. The technician told me right off the bat that this company got lazy and did not do the repairs correctly. He noticed from the beginning that the drums/pulleys were not in sync because one was installed 180 degrees opposite of the other which caused the cables to be uneven which is what led to the garage door binding. I ended up having to pay someone else to fix my garage but it was well worth it. If I did not get anything else out of this experience, I did learn to call a professional in the beginning and ignore those companies that call you 20 min after putting in an inquiry on a Sunday.

Called at 10:00 am on a Sunday morning. Someone was at my house by 12:00 pm Sunday. The guy knew what he was doing and got the garage door working just Ike it should.

They responed quickly. When I informed them that I was having another issue with the garage door, they came that same day to fix.
