Outlaw Excavation and Construction, LLC

Outlaw Excavation and Construction LLC & Jake Altman (owner/operator) was hired in August 22022 to excavate the foundation hole, set the concrete forms, have concrete poured, and backfill dirt. We paid him a deposit of $8,000, the balance to be paid upon completion of the job. He did not finish the work, and the work he did perform was grossly incorrect (the hole was dug 13 too wide and the forms were completely backward). This was after him being provided with all the needed information upfront to do the job correctly. This did not come to our attention until after he had abandoned the job canceling the cement and not returning any of our calls, texts, or emails, By this time it is the end of September. We were under the gun with winter coming fast to get the job completed. We hired another company to come in to finish the job. This is when we were informed the job was completely done incorrectly and would have to be completely redone costing us an additional $20,000, plus we now had to provide $1,113.00 in insulating blankets for cement to cure properly because winter was here now. After the job at the end of October, we tried again to contact Jake Altman to seek a resolution to the situation, no communication on his end at all. We then moved forward and sued him in small claims for $5,000 ( max amount in small claims), which we were successful with. Now the journey begins to collect!!! Looking back we should have not been so trusting and looked deeper into his background because now doing so we have found that this situation is not his first rodeo. We have taken this time to file this complaint not only to warn people of his lack of character, integrity, and dishonesty but also to warn people and encourage people to take the time to do their due diligence in seeking out their next contractor, etc.

Jake's a great person but I wanted it level and I guess I missed communicate that

Project: Pour a 3' x 5' concrete pad to support a home backup generator. Jake responded to my request right away and he came out to the house to give me a bid. It was a small job but he came in well below another bid I received. He followed up with a written estimate that evening and we scheduled a date. His crew was outstanding and did a great job! Payment using Venmo was a nice bonus and made things easy.

Excellent job, fast and clean

Kept me informed on the status of the project and I think he is a great guy. I at least 2 more projects for him.
