I went with another contractor that specialized in driveway paving who had many more years of experience with asphalt work. Alvey's came out promptly and quoted the job. Their's was the second lowest quote that I received. My main reasons for not choosing them was their short time in business and the small size of their company.

I hired them to build a 12X30 Cabin/shed and they responded promptly. They came out and we decided what we wanted.He called back in a day or so with the quote. We agreed signed a contract and about 5 days later ( waiting on the rain 2 of those days) we had our building completed! The whole Alvey team to the lady on the phone to the tradesmen in my back yard were all top notch and professional! I would highly recomend Kevin and his team to all my friends and family! Kevin was able to clear a steep slope with about 15 trees worth of branches and conditions too slippery to bring his equipment into close proximity. He and his people cleared the area very well and took the branches to the top of the hill where they were shredded and carried away. Alvey's tree service came through for us.

But when I did set up an appointment with him, he and his crew were prompt, and did an excellent job of hauling away the lumber and other trash that I needed taken away. The roofing went fast and as they had to tear off two layers, I was impressed with their speed. The roofing itself lookes to be well done. However, they left more reminants of the old roof laying around than I thought necessary. Also lots of nails left around the sides ot tthe house. Also, they bent up one of my gutters where they had placed their ladder. Unfortunately, I went with the lowest bid as apposed to the more prfessional bid!

First to respond with a call. Very pleasant to work with on the phone and in person. Original price was good, and they worked with me on additional items to make the overall job cost very attractive. Kept to the schedule pretty well while dealing with weather. Made a few ruts in the yard when removing shrub stumps due to the wet ground. If I was on site I would not have let them drive on the saturated ground until later. That was the only issue; I plan to call them back for more work later related to this project...

The job they did was exactly what we requested.They were prompt in giving an estimate and also doing the job.They were fast working and didn't take no time in finishing the job. The cost of the job was reasonable. They absolutely didn't clean up after they did the job.(It was a mess) This is my only grip.

Very friendly and easy-going. Eager for the business and quick with both estimate and work date. They completed a great deal of work (including three tree removals, three stump grinds, multiple tree top-offs, and the removal of a large limb overlooking the street) in a day and a few hours the next morning for cleanup. The price beat all of the other estimates competing for the project.

Their scheduling person took my information, and made it a priority! The same day that they received my request, they visited my house; evaluated the situation; discussed with me the particular skylights I wanted to purchase and the repairs that I needed to make; and submited a very competitive bid the very same day!
