Amazon Home Warranty

They were awful. No call-backs nothing. They were awful, please believe me. Three times, we had to use our warranty, and let me tell you. I almost pulled all my hair out. Horrible service, they try to not cover your issue, first of all, then you can never get a contractor for days and days. You have to call Amazon all the time to see what is up. Just do not use them.

I was told by the salesman that I could make claims on any appliance after the initial 30 days. Plus, it was only month to month, and that I could cancel at any time. I made a claim and was refused. I was told by their support staff that they expected all the equipment to be in excellent condition on day one and they do not expect claims for several months after the policy is active. Which is great! If one could predict when an appliance might die... You might want to buy stock in those predictions. Also, I spoke with two managers who were of NO help. Told them I wanted to cancel the policy and was told you have to pay an administration fee to cancel. NO refunds on the policy. I still have not had it canceled after several days. Also, when I sent several emails over a week to get assistance was told these were threats to them. They never answer the phone, you have to leave a message and wait for a callback. I have dealt with other home warranties such as A and E Appliance Serviceman until I retired and I would give AHW minus stars if possible.

Amazon Home Review is a complete rip off. They denied our very first claim for a refrigerator repair, claiming it was preexisting. I pointed out that it was not preexisting and met there contract obligations. They finally approved the repair. After 1.5 months of waiting on a repair they sent out a new repairman who determined the unit had to be replaced. Again they denied the claim this time claiming that the repair was not a covered problem.

Horrible customer service. Nothing was covered.

I purchased a 3 year home warranty from Amazon Home Warranty. The heating system in my home failed and was a covered item per the contract with the warranty company. The technician they sent out suggested the unit needed to be replaced entirely. The warranty company denied the claim on the grounds that it had not been properly maintained. The evidence they used to support their claim was that the wires were dirty in the photos that were sent in. They further claim had the system been properly maintained the wires would not be dirty. The heating system in my home is almost 20 years old and dirt on the wires is to be expected. The technician THEY sent out told me there was nothing he could see wrong with the system that would suggest the system was not properly maintained. Furthermore, I have had the contract for 7 out of the originally purchased 36 months for a total of $1350 paid upfront. When I went to cancel, I was told I would receive less than $400 despite only having used 20% of the contract term. I have launched a complaint with the BBB, reached out to local senators, and will reach out to news organizations and a lawyer. I will spread the word of their deceptive business practices as much as I can. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I have severe allergies to dust, and I was told that they would cover things in order to cut down on the dust. I left them to do their work, when I returned home later that first day they had failed to cover anything and there is dust everywhere. I knew there would be dust, but I expected them to cover most of the area near the project. They offered no help with the cleanup so I hired two ladies to come in and clean my home, because I cannot. I feel they were they did not honor their part of the contract. I will not do any further business with them.

If I could rate this company a 0, I would. I specifically asked if they were affiliated with Amazon and was told they have an agreement with Amazon to use the name as long as they perform in accordance with Amazon's standards - lie #1. Their customer service is non-existent. I never received an email with a copy of the warranty contract or log-in information. I asked specifically what I would be responsible for when I place a claim. I was informed I would be responsible for the $75 service call only, everything else was covered. I was told only licensed professionals with no less than 3 years experience would be sent out - lie #2. Since I did not have a log-in, I called to place a claim for electrical work. I explained the problem. Again, I asked what I was responsible for and was informed only the $75 service fee. The assigned my claim to a Handyman service. I had to make the phone call to set up the service call which took 4 days before the guy showed up. He was not a licensed electrician - he could not figure out the problem, demonstrated no knowledge on how to install a breaker (fumbled attempting to replace the breaker, had to call someone who walked him through troubleshooting) - lie #3. At the end of that day, I was informed they needed to send out a Master Electrician to trace the line and troubleshoot the problem and someone would call me to schedule - Lie #4 I constantly called and left messages for Herndon Services (Amazon Home Warranty&Best contractor) without any return calls. I called Amazon Home Warranty multiple times complaining about Herndon and even requested a PROFESSIONAL licensed electrician not a handyman. I was told they would reassign my claim without further cost, but they constantly returned to Herndon Services. When they finally sent out the electrician (5 days later - 8 days after the initial claim) they then tell me the warranty does not cover tracing the line or troubleshooting the problem and that I would be responsible for the cost. I am canceling the policy immediately. This home warranty has more exclusions (when you can finally view the policy. In my case after I filed the claim since I could not access the policy without a login which I obtained after filing a claim). I will take my chances and hire only professionals I can research and are honest and upfront.

Have a good rep. Higher priced. Haven t made a claim.

Great response time. Excellent job. Very professional. It was in the 100s this summer and my ac was out. Had my appointment made same day of claim, took a few days to get to me but it is Texas and summertime so I kind of expected that.

Angel the salesman was unbelievable. He gave me really good 3yr deal. He made me feel very comfortable with my decision to go with your company. I havenâ t had to utilize my plan yet, but when I do, im excited to see the good work theyâ ll put in.

A few times service was needed, Iâ ve gotten my claims covered. I own 4 properties and theyâ re all covered through Amazon Home Warranty. Recently I had an issue and it wasnâ t covered in the plan/contract and I spoke with a Amazon Home Warranty Supervisor and he clarified my contract to me. I havent had an issue with something not being covered with them until that time but they said that it was because it was a leak and they dont cover leaks at all which i now understand. They always come through when they can, if it doesnt violate our contract and i respect that.

I recently submitted a claim for my stopped up sink drain. Within 2 hours I received an email with the name of the plumber and a date for the sink to be repaired.Two days later my sink was fixed. Iâ m a realtor and Iâ ve been dealing/ working with home warranty companies for years. Most of them feed you lies and donâ t cover anything once you put in a claim.. This company is the most legit Iâ ve seen so far, they are covering my claims. Amazon home warranty not only uses reliable and expert companies but they facilitate their claims in an efficient and rapid manner. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

They are a fantastic company to work with. Having used a few others, they are the best in my opinion.
